Naturally, they make for a perfect wife swap right now. The only place this is getting traction right now is in the Twitterverse and in the forums, but here ya go: Just heard strange rumor from EC source: Celtics talking about possibility of Pierce and B...

Avery Bradley’s defensive prowess gains notice

Boston Herald — As far back as last year, when Rajon Rondo was named to the NBA’s all-defensive second team for the second time — he was a first-teamer in 2010 and ’11 — the Celtics point guard wasn’t even considered the best defensive guard on his own team.

Building blocks - Rondo has help in Green, Bradley, and Sullinger

CelticsBlogPaul Pierce has been the face of the Celtics since most of the people reading this post can remember. The winning tradition was restored when Kevin Garnett came into town. If those two are gone this summer (and barring other large trades), the future is in the hands of Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green, Avery Bradley, and Jared Sullinger. We know, for the most part, what we have in Rondo. He's a star and he's someone that you can build around. Ainge may chose not to, but that's a whole other article. To build around a star, you need building blocks. Sure, it helps to have other stars and s...

Avery Bradley focuses on offseason

Boston HeraldAvery Bradley doesn’t have to be told about the importance of this offseason. With the futures of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett up in the air following the Celtics’ exit in the first round of the NBA playoffs, Bradley’s role could certainly expand next season even more than it did this year without point guard Rajon Rondo.Finding that niche and preparing for a bigger load is definitely on his mind.

  • Celtics go down swinging, fall to Knicks 88-80
Down 26 points in the 4th, it was all over. The Celtics hadn't scored more than 20 points in any quarter and only managed 10 in the first quarter. Yet somehow, improbably, they came almost all the way back. Avery Bradley was an absolute beast. He went from Doc's doghouse to nearly being the hero of the day. His defense turned into transition which turned into easy buckets. The Knicks got tight and the Celtics just kept coming. But the first 3 quarters of inept offense were just too big of a hole to dig themselves out of. The team that refused to die quietly still had to die event...
