Lamb could see a bigger role next year

CBSSports.com Fantasy — With unrestricted free agent Beno Udrih not expected to be back next year, Magic guard Doron Lamb could be thrust into a larger role. Lamb spent 23 games with the Bucks last season before being traded to Orlando as part of the deal that sent J.J. Redick packing. He averaged 3.2 points and 1.2 assists on 39.7 percent shooting from the field in his 24 games with the Magic.

We'll explore all free agents that could take the mid-level exception or less in this ongoing series. Next up: Beno Udrih. PREVIOUSLY: Devin Harris | C.J. Watson. Team: Orlando Magic. Udrih's dominant 3rd quarter Friday may have been Magic's best all season

Orlando Sentinel — CLEVELAND — Perhaps no Orlando Magic player has had a more dominant quarter this season than the third quarter that point guard Beno Udrih enjoyed during Friday night's 87-86 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Friday’s result: Bulls 87, Magic 86

Chicago Sun-TimesNate Robinson scored 12 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, Luol Deng finished with 19 after a slow start, and the Chicago Bulls beat the Orlando Magic 87-86 on Friday night. Robinson, who scored the go-ahead basket the previous night in a two-point win at Brooklyn, came up big down the stretch, offsetting a 27-point performance by Orlando’s Beno Udrih. He scored nine points during a 15-4 run that turned a five-point deficit into an 87-78 lead. Deng hit two 3-pointers during that stretch, and Robinson capped it wit...

Devin Harris fourth quarter brings home another win

Peachtree Hoops — And a good thing, too, because Jeff Teague was having a "bad Jeff" night, shooting 3 for 15, forcing a lot of things on that end, trail defending Beno Udrih most of the night and making a series of yuck plays. Larry Drew, having a still banged up Harris available to run things and shiny new rosteree Shevlin Mack on hand to bear the weight of the second ball handler in the backcourt, sat Teague for the fourth quarter. Harris, meanwhile, picked a good quarter to heat up, scoring 13 of his 17 in the fourth quarter, from a variety of shots across the floor. Harris also ran the mid-floor p...

Beno Udrih: Bucks "didn't give" Tobias Harris "a real chance"

Orlando Pinstriped PostTobias Harris suited up for the Orlando Magic on Friday night for the 18th time since Orlando acquired him from the Milwaukee Bucks at the NBA trading deadline. And for the sixth time in that span, Harris tied or set a new career-high in scoring: the second-year combo forward put up 30 points, in addition to 11 boards, three steals, and three blocks, as Orlando fended off the Washington Wizards, 97-92, to end its eight-game losing streak. More: Magic vs. Wizards: Complete coverage Veteran point guard Beno Udrih also joined the Magic in the Harris deal, and he said that Ha...

Beno Udrih "would love to stay" with Magic, according to report

Orlando Pinstriped Post — The Orlando Magic may not have viewed Beno Udrih as a long-term part of their future when they acquired the veteran point guard from the Milwaukee Bucks on February 21st, but Udrih is indeed open to re-signing with Orlando in July once he hits free agency. According to Steve Kyler of HOOPSWORLD, Udrih "would love to stay" with the Magic, but "he'll go where the money is" in free agency. Kyler notes that Udrih's wife is from nearby Tampa, which could play a factor in Udrih's free-agent decision. Magic general manager Rob Hennigan told Orlando Pinstriped Post the night that he acquired...
