Boozer 'humbled' during final Bulls season

Carlos Boozer said he was "humbled" by playing more limited minutes during his final season with the Chicago Bulls, who used the amnesty provision earlier this month on the last year of the veteran forward's contract. "It was (difficult). It was at times," Boozer said Friday as he was introduced by the Los Angeles Lakers. "But you learn a lot. I was humbled a lot and I grew a lot as a man and as an individual. So, I take all that with me in my new experience.

Thibs: Boozer good fit with Lakers

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau believes Carlos Boozer will be a good fit for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. Boozer was claimed off waivers by the Lakers on Thursday. The final year of Boozer's deal was amnestied by the Bulls on Tuesday. "When you look at four years and you win 200 games, he did a terrific job for us," Thibodeau said Friday. "Carlos has had a great career, he did his job here, and we wish him nothing but the best.

The Jazz’s rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers already was intriguing enough, even before Carlos Boozer joined the Lakers. Now, we’ll have the dynamic of all those Lakers fans who infiltrate EnergySolutions Arena cheering for Boozer while Jazz fans boo him. Then again, it might be tough tell whether those cries are “boos” or “Booz-es.” I know this: The atmosphere at ESA could not be any weirder than it was in April, when some percentage of Jazz fans were hoping their team would lose to the Laker...
