The year was 2008, Game 5 of the Washington Wizards’ first-round match-up against frequent foe Cleveland Cavaliers. People probably forget about this game because the Wizards would ultimately lose the series, but for me, it cemented Caron Butler as my all-time favorite Wizard. We’re finally heading into the last three days of Olympic basketball group games. First let’s give a quickcap on how the USA Basketball teams did on Friday. Yesterday, the USA women’s team failed to score 100 points for the first time in Group Play, but they still embarrassed Canada 81-51. Diana Taurasi scored 12 points — all on threes, but Sue Bird was the engine who made things go. She didn’t score a point in the game, but she dished nine assists compared to just two turnovers.
