Curry aggravates ankle

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Warriors guard Stephen Curry was on his way to another terrific game Saturday, as he was hot from three-point range from the beginning. Unfortunately, he was forced to leave game midway through the fourth quarter, after he stepped awkwardly on his surgically-repaired right ankle after being fouled by Cartier Martin. Curry stayed in the game to shoot his free throws, but immediately left for the locker room. He would not return to the game, finishing with 35 points and eight assists in just 32 minutes. Nothing is known about his status at this time.

He played 30 minutes off the bench and scored a season-high 23 points in the 101-92 loss. He went 8 for 13 from the field, including 6 for 9 from downtown, and made 1 of 2 free throws. Martin also posted three rebounds, three assists and a steal in the defeat.

Wittman, who also suffered a laceration on his forehead after colliding with teammate Bradley Beal in practice Thursday, has not appeared in a game since Jan. 6 because of the knee issue. He did not play again in Friday's 119-113 win.
