Sacramento Bee LOS ANGELES - Dwight Howard pretty much handled Game 4 the way he handled everything else the past eight-plus months. Los Angeles Lakers, from left, forward Metta World Peace, left, forward Pau Gasol, of Spain, center Robert Sacre, guard Chris Duhon and guard Steve Nash watch from the bench late in the second half in Game 3 of a first-round NBA basketball playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs, Friday, April 26, 2013, in Los Angeles. The Spurs won 120-89. Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D'Antoni, left, talks to Darius Morris, second from left, Pau Gasol, third from left, of ...

Silver Screen and Roll In another twist that goes beyond tragedy straight into high comedy, it seems that yet another Laker has fallen to injury. After an ineffective 17 minute performance going 0-6 for a big donut in points, rebounds but 1 assist, Metta World Peace sat the entire second half due to a bum left knee. Chris Duhon played in his absence, finishing with an astounding zero points and zero assists in 25 (!) minutes. After the game, the former Ron Artest said he couldn't see himself playing on Sunday. Check this tweet from Janis Carr of the OC Register: Metta says he is doubtful for Sunday's Game 4...

Silver Screen and Roll Without Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash, the Lakers have quite the minute load to fill as the playoffs approach. Mike D'Antoni has shown a rather justified aversion to calling upon the services of Chris Duhon and Darius Morris, both of whom have started for this team this year and left unfavorable impressions. The Lakers have been quiet on the free agency front due to the massive bill they are already footing due to the luxury tax, but desperate times call for desperate measures. According to ESPN's Marc Stein: Word on D-League grapevine is that Lakers are lining up Andrew Goudelock for a ...
Los Angeles Lakers April 14, 2013Knicks Blog | New York Post JEFF ZELEVANSKYSolomon Jones (left) defends the Knicks' Chris Duhon in a 2009 game. The Knicks will sign 6-10 journeyman Solomon Jones instead of James Singleton, according to a source, to add big-man insurance in light of the spate of injuries. The deal fell through with Singleton, due to Chinese Basketball Association red tape. Jones is taller and younger at age 28. He had played with the Clippers last season and was cut by Phoenix in training camp before also going to China, like the 6-8 Singleton. Jones averaged 15.8 points and 10.4 rebounds for Liaoning of the CBA. He has also play...
New York Knicks April 12, 2013Land O' Lakers | ESPN Los Angeles ATLANTA -- From the creator of the "Travel Dance" we give you Chris Duhon's latest bench celebration. Despite not playing a single second in the Los Angeles Lakers' 106-97 win over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, there might not have been a more animated player in purple and gold than Duhon. The nine-year veteran broke out a cheer I hadn't seen from him before when Jodie Meeks hit a 3-pointer and again when Earl Clark connected from downtown. Once the 3s went down, it was Duhon's cue to crouch down off the bench, put one foot on the court while game action was continuing down the other end and...

Silver Screen and Roll The Los Angeles Lakers continue to be linked to Raja Bell of the Utah Jazz, even after the trade deadline passed by the Lakers without any roster moves. Despite the Lakers being unable to move bits and pieces from their bench in Devin Ebanks, Chris Duhon, Darius Morris, or Steve Blake for the low asking price of a second round draft pick, the Lakers remain intrigued with the possibility of signing Bell as a free agent should the Jazz finally resolved their season-long contract dispute, reports Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD. Silver Screen and Roll: Lakers interested in Raja Bell With t...
