Orlando Magic guard/forward Jeff Green will move into the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. What It Means: In their first game since trading Serge Ibaka to the Toronto Raptors, the Magic will be starting C.J. Watson, Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic alongside Green. Head coach Frank Vogel cites defensive concerns on the perimeter as reason for keeping Gordon out of the four-spot. In 10 starts this season, Green is averaging 7.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 25.5 minutes per game while shooting an atrocious 27.7 percent...

Frank Vogel could shift Magic’s rotation again

DALLAS — Coach Frank Vogel may alter the Orlando Magic’s rotation again in an effort to shore up the team’s scuffling second unit. On Thursday, Vogel altered the starting lineup — picking C.J. Watson over Elfrid Payton at point guard and having Mario Hezonja play at small forward in place of injured...

C.J. Watson starting at point guard for Orlando on Thursday

Orlando Magic point guard C.J. Watson will start at point guard and Elfrid Payton will move to the bench against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. What It Means: Coach Frank Vogel is mixing up the lineups for the Magic on Thursday. Watson had started five games previously, but they all came at shooting guard with Evan Fournier out of action. Payton, Fournier, and Watson will likely be a three-headed monster in the backcourt, hurting D.J. Augustin's chance for minutes. Watson has averaged 12.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists when playing over 30 minutes, which he is likely to...

Evan Fournier to start for Magic, C.J. Watson to bench

Orlando Magic guard/forward Evan Fournier will start and point guard C.J. Watson will move to the bench against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. What It Means: This was expected after Fournier felt good following Monday's return to the lineup. He may still see reduced minutes, thus limiting his DFS appeal, but season-long owners should feel free to get him active. numberFire's metrics have Fournier down for 31.6 minutes versus Indiana, and we project him to record 16.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 3-pointers. Magic bringing Evan Fournier (foot) off the bench against Minnesota

Orlando Magic guard/forward Evan Fournier (foot) will come off the bench Monday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. What It Means: Fournier may be strapped with a minutes limit coming off an eight-game absence, but he should be picked up if he happened to be dropped anywhere. C.J. Watson will eventually return to the bench and D.J. Augustin is going to see less playing time. Our models account for Fournier playing 28.3 minutes on Monday night, and project him to record 14.6 points with 2.9 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 3-pointers. Source: Rotoworld.com

Evan Fournier will miss yet another game for Orlando

Orlando Magic guard/forward Evan Founier (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Toronto Raptors. What It Means: Fournier will miss his eighth straight game with the heel injury but is inching closer to a return after going through practice well on Saturday. He will remain questionable on Monday. C.J. Watson will likely continue to start in his place with Aaron Gordon taking on more scoring responsibility. Watson is projected for 7.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists on Sunday by our algorithms. Source: Rotoworld.com

Jeff Green starting for the Magic versus the Bulls

Orlando Magic guard/forward Jeff Green will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Chicago Bulls with C.J. Watson going back to the bench. What It Means: Watson started the last two games at shooting guard with Evan Fournier and Jodie Meeks both out with injury but has struggled with his shot (6-for-18 from the field). Green, on the other hand, has played well off the bench averaging 14.3 points in 25.8 minutes his last three games, earning the promotion. Before the news of the lineup switch, Green was projected for 10.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists...

Orlando's D.J. Augustin (ankle) set to receive MRI Monday

Orlando Magic point guard D.J. Augustin (ankle) will undergo an MRI on Monday. What It Means: It doesn't sound like Augustin will be available for Tuesday's contest against the Chicago Bulls after rolling his ankle on Sunday. If that's the case, Elfrid Payton and C.J. Watson would see a large uptick in minutes and make for intriguing DFS options. Payton is averaging 21.0 points, 8.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 3-pointers in 33.8 minutes per game over his past five contests. His -0.8 nERD currently ranks seventh on the Magic. D.J. Augustin (ankle) won't return for Orlando on Sunday

Orlando Magic guard D.J. Augustin (ankle) will not return to Sunday's game against the Golden State Warriors. What It Means: Augustin rolled his ankle pretty bad but x-rays were negative. He was able to walk to the lockerroom under his own power, but if he misses time, Elfrid Payton and C.J. Watson will have to play a lot of minutes with the injuries to Orlando's backcourt. Evan Fournier will not play in Orlando on Sunday afternoon

Orlando Magic guard Evan Fournier (heel) will not play on Sunday against the Golden State Warriors. What It Means: It will be Fournier's fifth straight absence and he has now missed 10 of the Magic's last 15 games. He doesn't have a timetable right now, so look for C.J. Watson to get another start with Elfrid Payton and D.J. Augustin also getting a boost. Our models project Augustin to be the best play in the Magic backcourt on Sunday with 11.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists over 26.9 minutes on Sunday. Source: Rotoworld.com

Magic turning to C.J. Watson at shooting guard versus Milwaukee

Orlando Magic point guard C.J. Watson will start at shooting guard against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. What It Means: Watson gets the nod with Evan Fournier (foot, hell) and Jodie Meeks (thumb) both out. D.J. Augustin will receive more minutes while Mario Hezonja may also see some increased opportunity. Our models actually prefer Augustin for fantasy purposes on Friday night, and project him to record 11.7 points, 4.3 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 3.2 3-pointers in 27.2 minutes. He comes with a minimum $3,500 price tag on FanDuel. Source: Rotoworld.com

Orlando's Jodie Meeks will be sidelined for the next four-to-six weeks

Orlando Magic guard Jodie Meeks will not need surgery on his injured right thumb but is expected to miss the next four-to-six weeks. What It Means: Meeks was filling in for Evan Fournier and his troublesome heel issues, so the Magic will be woefully thin at shooting guard for the foreseeable future. Mario Hezonja, Jeff Green, and C.J. Watson will all likely see increased minutes while Meeks and Fournier are sidelined. Feel free to drop Meeks in all fantasy formats. Meeks was averaging 11.4 points and 2.0 three-pointers in 27.8 minutes per game in his nine...
