Jakob Poeltl’s rookie season was exciting in a totally boring kind of way. There existed a scenario in which the player the Raptors drafted with the ninth pick in the 2017 draft — the pick acquired in the Andrea Bargnani trade — would result in a net loss for the Raptors.
