Kelly Oubre does not need to start for the Phoenix Suns

After a strong start to his Phoenix Suns career, Kelly Oubre Jr. is beginning to deserve a larger role. This does not mean that Oubre has to start though. The Phoenix Suns have recently seemed to be on a roller coaster. From great comebacks to Devin Booker injuries and big blowouts, there has not been […] Kelly Oubre does not need to start for the Phoenix Suns - Valley of the Suns - Valley of the Suns - A Phoenix Suns Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and More

Recap: Suns lose 135-115 to the Hornets in Charlotte

Recap: Suns lose 135-115 to the Hornets in Charlotte

The Suns fall to 11-36 for the season and 0-3 on this road trip. The Suns came out flat offensively and dug themselves into a hole early - again - in this game. Down by 17 at the end of the first quarter, they couldn’t fight their way back into the game even with a 32 point, 11 assist performance by Devin Booker. The Hornets out shot the Suns 54.5% to 44.8% from the field and 47.1% to 33.3% from three but the killer in this game was the fact that the Suns were out rebounded 53 to 26. The Hornets actually committed 10 more turnovers than the Suns (17 to 7) but that turned into a non-factor...

Devin Booker knows young Suns team still needs to earn respect from the refs after loss to Raptors

The Phoenix Suns were minutes from pulling off the unthinkable, holding a 95-87 advantage in the fourth quarter against the Toronto Raptors, only to see the lead evaporate as tempers flared and Josh Jackson earned his second technical foul of the quarter, resulting in his ejection. The ejection proved to be a game-changer, as the […] The post Devin Booker knows young Suns team still needs to earn respect from the refs after loss to Raptors appeared first on ClutchPoints.

Locked On Suns Thursday: Devin Booker returns to form but Suns lose to Raptors at the buzzer

Locked On Suns Thursday: Devin Booker returns to form but Suns lose to Raptors at the buzzer

The star playmaker looks healthy and that may be all that matters, but it would have been nice to steal a win on the road over the Raptors. We break down The Pascal Siakam Game, as this one will probably forever be known. Despite Devin Booker’s 30-8 game and magical second half, the Raptors’ depth stole the show at home. Without Kawhi Leonard, Toronto managed a 2-point victory over the Suns. We also hit on the inevitable Kelly Oubre Jr./T.J. Warren swap as Warren’s funk continues, the poor play from the rookie point guards and Deandre Ayton not taking a single shot in the second...

Phoenix Suns: 3 players most likely to be traded before deadline

If the Phoenix Suns make a move before the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline on Feb. 7, they’ll likely include one of the following three players. With the fourth-worst record, third-worst defense and second-worst offense in the NBA this season, it’s pretty clear the Phoenix Suns haven’t “flipped the switch” towards winning again. Devin Booker and T.J. […] Phoenix Suns: 3 players most likely to be traded before deadline - Hoops Habit - Hoops Habit - NBA News, Rumors, Analysis, Opinion and Stats

Locked On Suns Tuesday: Start Kelly Oubre Jr.

Locked On Suns Tuesday: Start Kelly Oubre Jr.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, they say. Well, despite success last week for the Suns without Devin Booker, the same problem starting games reared its head again against the Pacers. It’s time. In a 34-point loss on the road in Indiana, swingman Kelly Oubre Jr. was somehow a plus-1 in the box score. The Suns’ most consistent player the past two weeks needs to take up his rightful place in the starting unit. We hit on Oubre Jr.’s consistency and fit in coach Igor Kokoskov’s offense, Devin Booker’s foul trouble and poor scoring night, the defense and more. Plus, why nights like...
