The NBA announced the All-Rookie teams on Tuesday afternoon. It should come as no surprise that Dion Waiters was easily voted to the First Team All-Rookie by NBA coaches. Despite his up and down rookie campaign, it was clear that Waiters was one of the most talented players in his class and had plenty of positive moments to outshine the negative ones. Waiters was the fourth leading vote getting in All-Rookie voting and joined Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal, Anthony Davis, and Harrison Barnes on the First Team All-Rookie. Dion finished the season with 14.7 points and 3.0 assists in just ...

Much has been made of the Cavaliers inability to guard last season, and rightfully so. It was a dumpster fire. Everyone likes to use Kyrie Irving's defense as a fun thing to harp on (for reasons that are near unfathomable to me), but Dion Waiters and the rest of the wings weren't effective guarding the perimeter either. Adding a center to reduce the amount of uncontested layups would be one step forward, but you need sound perimeter defending, if only to reduce the number of open three pointers. Believe it or not, Irving and Waiters still project as plus defenders for their respective ...

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost again. I know you are all shocked by this development. The Cavaliers rested Kyrie Irving on the second night of a back to back and are still without Dion Waiters. In the first half, the Cavs lost one of their few reserve guards when Daniel Gibson got ejected. Omri Casspi actually played pretty well. The Cavs did play pretty hard and never seemed to lay down and die. They fought til the end, but it wasn't enough as the Hawks closed out a 102-94 victory. The Cavaliers have now lost nine straight games. But hey, at least Kyrie will play in the next game, ri...
