D.J. Augustin, Pistons agree to 2-year, $6 million deal, according to reports

Sources said the Mavericks have expressed interest in point guard D.J. Augustin, who could potentially diminish the backcourt shooting void left by the departure of Jose Calderon in the six-player deal with the New York Knicks. The Mavs remain optimistic about re-signing Devin Harris, but that wouldn’t necessarily preclude them from adding Augustin, depending on the price. Augustin, a Texas-ex who was the ninth overall pick in the 2008 draft, revived his career after signing with the Chicago Bulls in December last season.
