NetsDaily — The Austin Toros, the Spurs D-League affiliate, were down 17 points in the fourth quarter to the Armor but outscored the Nets affiliate, 8-2, in overtime to win, 129-123, in Springfield. It was a good game for three of the Armor's seven players with NBA experience. Dominique Jones, the 6'4" shooting guard signed by the Armor on Monday, scored 28 points on 13 shots, hitting nine. Some potential fits for a 10-day deal in Dallas: *Chris Wright: He’s averaging 15.5 points, 7.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game for the Iowa Energy. The 23-year-old Wright (6-1, 210) product starred in Turkey last season after going undrafted out of Georgetown. *Ben Uzoh: The 6-3, 205-pound Uzoh, who turns 25 this month, has 60 games on NBA experience, including a triple-double for the Raptors last season.

Jones, a combo guard selected with the 25th pick in the 2010 draft, never made a significant impact for the Mavs. He averaged 3.1 points, 1.8 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 80 games, including four starts. In October, the Mavs opted not to pick up the team option for next season in Jones’ rookie contract, making it clear that he didn’t fit in the franchise’s future plans.
