Toot It or Boot it: Thaddeus Young

Liberty Ballers — So far during the 76ers "Toot It or Boot It" series, we've gotten rid of The Swag and kept Dorell Wright. Up next in the series is Thaddeus Young. To be honest, this is one of the more cut and dry decisions to be made, with one caveat. I'll get to that later. By most metrics, Thad was the Sixers best (regular) player last year. Of players who played at least 1,000 minutes, he led the team in Win Shares (7.4, next up was Dorell Wright at 4.9), WS/48 (.136), PER (18.2), eFG% (53.2%), while coming in second to only Dorell Wright in true shooting percentage. He accumulated this product...

Is More Dorell Wright the Wright Move? And Other Such Puns.

Liberty Ballers — It was with great sadness that Liberty Ballers' Michael Baumann had his Air Bud moment yesterday, baiting Nick Young with a pudding cup and sending him off to bigger and swaggier things. We laughed, we cried, but mostly we craved a nice chicken caesar salad and got our minds focused on the other so-called members of the 2012-2013 Sixers, today being Dorell Wright. We found Dorell on the doorstep of our fancy blog row home back in July (while also saying goodbye to Edin Bavcic) when he was acquired in a three-team blockbuster trade from Golden State. Dorell was two seasons removed from ...

76ers Defeat Cavaliers 91-77 Reaction Thread: There's No Place Like Home

Liberty Ballers — Thanks to a 19-3 Sixers' run to start the contest, this game was over almost as soon as it started. Dorell Wright led all scorers with 15 points and was one of six Sixers in double figures. Three Cavs (Tristan Thompson, Marreese Speights, Wayne Ellington) finished with 12 points apiece. The expected battle between Jrue Holiday and Kyrie Irving never truly came to fruition: Irving started off 1-for-6 from the floor, picked up his fifth foul early in the third quarter, and finished with just four points in a shade under 19 minutes. Holiday, meanwhile, had 14 points on a rather unimpressi...

76ers hold off Blazers immediate reaction thread

Liberty Ballers — The 76ers held on for a win against the Portland Trailblazers, winning 101-100. The 76ers were up 6 to begin the third, but the Blazers came back to take a lead late in the 4th before Jrue Holiday took control of the game offensively. The Blazers made a valiant comeback late, hitting a pair of three pointers and forcing a turnover when Jrue Holiday tripped over Dorell Wright's feet on an inbounds play.
