  • Palmer: Former Blazers G Jamal Crawford Reflects On Offensive Role In Portland
Chris Palmer of ESPN.com has written a piece based on a ride to practice with Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford, who spent the 2011-12 season with the Portland Trail Blazers. Their conversation turns to Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and how he would fare under San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. Crawford turns the discussion into a reflection on his time with the Blazers. "A lot of success is about situation," Crawford continues. "How much do you think Steph would average under Gregg Popovich? "At least 22 a game." "You think he'd average 22? No way. Uh-huh." "...

  • Crawford shows sixth sense
LOS ANGELES – Clippers guard Jamal Crawford was disappointed but not visibly upset that he didn't win the NBA's coveted Sixth Man Award. He's gotten used to being snubbed. "Second time this season," Crawford said, referring to his exclusion on the...
  • J.R. Smith will win Sixth Man Award over Jamal Crawford
As has been supposed for the final month of the season or so, J.R. Smith of the New York Knicks will win this year's NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award. Howard Beck tweeted this morning that it will be officially announced later today. Which clearly means that Jamal Crawford of the Los Angeles Clippers will not win the award. Crawford, who won the award while with Atlanta in 2010, will inevitably finish second in voting this season. That Smith will win the vote is not particularly surprising, but perhaps it should be. When All Star reserves were announced, Smith and Crawford were each fre...
  • J.R. Smith named Sixth Man of the Year over Clippers' Jamal Crawford
Per ESPN: Knicks guard J.R. Smith has won the NBA's Sixth Man Award, a league source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com's Ian Begley on Monday. The Knicks have called an afternoon news conference at which Smith will be given the award, the source said. The news was previously reported by The Associated Press. The eighth-year guard has averaged 18.1 points in 80 games, all off the bench. He had 29 games in which he scored 20 points as a reserve, tying him with the Clippers' Jamal Crawford for the NBA lead. Smith helped the Knicks win the Atlantic Division title for the first time since 1994....
  • Clippers hang on against feisty Kings, 112-108
The Los Angeles Clippers had so much fun during this, the most successful regular season in their history, that they apparently decided to keep it interesting to the very end. So they let the Sacramento Kings hang around and hang around, and even take the lead 98-97 on a Patrick Patterson three pointer with two and a half minutes left. But Jamal Crawford hit back to back threes of his own in response, the first coming on a broken play with the shot clock winding down and a hand in his face, and the Clippers got enough scores to hold on for the victory. Goodness knows they didn't get an...
  • Clippers top Kings, earn home-court vs. Memphis
SACRAMENTO – Jamal Crawford will take tough shots, and he'll make tough shots, but a rainbow 3-pointer with the shot clock running down Wednesday might be his biggest as a Clipper. For good measure, Crawford followed it up by hitting another one on...

  • Pacers Final Score: Pacers hold off Clippers 109-106
The Indiana Pacers led wire-to-wire, jumping out to a 10-0 lead and leading by as many as 24 in the third quarter, but it ended up a nail biter in the final minutes as Jamal Crawford led the Los Angeles Clippers back from the dead to pull them within a single point. After a rocky free throw stretch, the Pacers hit their final eight to ice a hard fought win against one of the league's best on the road. Roy Hibbert was a big factor in tonight's win, hitting all eight of his first half field goal attempts on the way to a 26 points, 10 rebound double double before fouling out late. Paul Ge...
  • Clippers furious comeback falls short, Pacers win 109-106
At halftime of the Los Angeles Clippers game against the Indiana Pacers Monday night, Chris Paul was 1-7, Jamal Crawford was 2-8, Roy Hibbert of the Pacers was 8-8, and the Clippers trailed by eight. So naturally I was feeling pretty good. After all, things couldn't have gone much worse for the Clippers or much better for the Pacers. It took a miracle, blind tip in from Caron Butler at the first half buzzer, so surely they'd carry that momentum into the second half, right? Wrong. Willie Green scored the first basket after the intermission to cut the lead to six, and over the next eight...
  • Clippers' Barnes: Make NBA referees' grades public
NEW ORLEANS – Almost no one wants to talk about referees. "It's hard to," Jamal Crawford said Thursday. "I like my money." But Matt Barnes, a player who has made a career of not backing down from anyone on the court, didn't back down from the...
