Early results: Take 'Em or Trash 'Em

Knicks Blog | ESPN New York — So how do you see this Knicks' roster unfolding this summer? In the annual "Take 'Em or Trash 'Em" voting, Jason Kidd and Amar'e Stoudemire got the boot. Kidd didn't score in 208 straight minutes in the playoffs, and Stoudemire is due $21.68 million next season -- the highest on the team's payroll -- without even a guarantee from Mike Woodson that he'll start. However, fans stood behind J.R. Smith and Tyson Chandler, even though they were basically no-shows in the Pacers series.

Jason Kidd as a Brooklyn Nets coach?

NetsDaily — In an article published before Sunday's Knick loss to the Pacers, Dave D'Alessandro laments the passing (a pun that works on so many levels) of Jason Kidd, who by now everybody knows didnt score point between April 23 and May 20. Dave D thinks its time for J-Kidd to hang them up, don a suit and take a seat on the bench, as an assistant coach for your Brooklyn Nets. Might be a nice way to pass the time between now and his enshrinement in the Hall of Fame. Dave D. writes... "Don’t say it: That’s weird. But we traffic in weird around here. And the Nets would undoubtedly like to obtain gua...

NetsDailyBrook Lopez put up good numbers in Brooklyn during regular season, was selected to the All-Star game, played better in the playoffs and is now awaiting next week's announcement of the All-NBA teams. If he makes it, he will be the first Net to do so since Jason Kidd was selected to the first team in 2004. In an interview with Ben Couch, the Nets in-house beat writer, Lopez said the individual success this season was a real positive, but the next step is about team and winning. Knicks' Woodson likely to stick with rotation, but believes Kidd will break out

Knicks Blog | New York Post — Mike Woodson gave strong indications he will stick with the same rotation for tomorrow's do-or-die Game 6 that didn’t include Jason Kidd in the second half but the Knicks coach still supported the future Hall of Famer who appears to be running on fumes. Ama’re Stoudmire also was benched in the second half in last night’s victory but his rustiness is obvious and expected. Kidd’s sudden decline is shocking. Kidd was scoreless for the ninth straight game, his blown layup his only shot attempt in 5:20. But Woodson still thinks Kidd is ready to make something big happen soon, even if his minutes ...
