Bulls vs. Heat: Butler, Boozer, Robinson lead final effort

Blog a Bull — I've recapped enough season-enders to know that it's kind of pointless. Soon after the final 3-point attempts from Nate Robinson and Jimmy Butler missed and the season came to a close, thoughts aren't much towards the game that passed, instead more at the big-picture look to the future. Tributes and pleas to the likely-departed Nate Robinson pop up, salary spreadsheets are formulated, mock drafts are consumed. But I took NOTES, damnit. And I plan on using them. I didn't think any of the notes would be necessary a few minutes into the game, as the Bulls were riding their record-futility...

Butler: First foul altered approach vs. LBJ

Chicago Bulls Blog | ESPN Chicago — MIAMI -- The Chicago Bulls' momentum turned upside down all night in their 115-78 loss to the Miami Heat in Game 2 on Wednesday thanks to the sound of the referees' whistles. While many will focus on all the whistles the Bulls endured toward the beginning of the fourth quarter when official Scott Foster tossed Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson, one of the biggest came midway through the first quarter when Jimmy Butler was called for his first foul while trying to check LeBron James.

Phoenix Suns 2012-13 Player Review: Markieff Morris

Bright Side Of The Sun — Judging Morris based on his peers Six of the nine players taken directly after Morris appear to have long, successful careers ahead of them while Morris is looking more and more like a squandered draft pick. Stats via Basketball-Reference.com This doesn't even include players such as Jimmy Butler (#30 first round), who just had 21 points and 14 rebounds in the Bulls' game one win at Miami, or Chandler Parsons (#38 second round), who absolutely puts Markieff to shame. The 2011 NBA draft was actually rife with solid players middle first round and below. Many of these players project ...

Swingman Jimmy Butler doing it all for Bulls

Chicago Sun-Times — MIAMI — After playing 48 minutes three games in a row, Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler planned to do three things to be ready to frustrate Miami Heat star LeBron James again in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Wednesday. ‘‘Rest, rest and more rest,’’ Butler said Tuesday. ‘‘Maybe sit outside in the sun instead of in your hotel room. In praise of Bulls' Iron Man Jimmy Butler

Blog a Bull — There was a quote I read immediately after last night's unbelievable/ridiculous/thrilling/insert adjective here win over the Heat that really gave me a good chuckle. It was from Thibs, and it was about BaB's new favorite son, Jimmy Butler. Courtesy of ESPN Heat writer Tom Haberstroh: Tom Thibodeau: "The thing about Jimmy is that Jimmy is going to work the whole time." — Tom Haberstroh (@tomhaberstroh) May 7, 2013 It's funny, because when Thibs says that Jimmy is going to "work the whole time," he LITERALLY means the whole damn time. Butler played 48 minutes for the third straight g...
