Robin Lopez would join the Warriors if bought out, but Bulls won’t do so

Robin Lopez would join the Warriors if bought out, but Bulls won’t do so

There’s mutual interest between Lopez and Golden State, but his current team stands in the way. The Golden State Warriors need a center, and, when you remove players on playoff teams or under control for numerous years, Robin Lopez is one of the best around. It shouldn’t be a surprise, then, that there’s mutual interest between the two, and has been for some time. Golden State has only four centers: Jordan Bell, who is undersized, Kevon Looney, who is undersized, Damian Jones, who is out for the season, and DeMarcus Cousins, who is a question mark from a health standpoint. Adding...

Warriors’ time in Oakland is dwindling - it’s ok to be sad about that

Warriors’ time in Oakland is dwindling - it’s ok to be sad about that

With just 21 regular season games left, leaving Oracle behind is going to hurt a bit For many, Oracle Arena is synonymous with the Golden State Warriors. Sure, they’ve played elsewhere - from San Francisco to San Jose - but nowhere has been home to quite the extent that Oakland has. It’s the only home stadium that our core has known in the NBA. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and even youngsters like Jordan Bell have never called anything but Oracle “home” during their time in the NBA. So while ownership salivates at the glitzy prospects across the bay, a growing sense...

Bob Myers admits that the Warriors are looking for a center

Golden State has one roster spot remaining, and it’s no secret how they plan on using it. It’s no secret that the Golden State Warriors are lacking in the center department. They entered the year with only four traditional big men: DeMarcus Cousins, who has yet to play a game, Damian Jones, who is out for the year with a shoulder injury, Kevin Looney, who is 6’9”, and Jordan Bell, who is 6’9” and hasn’t earned Steve Kerr’s trust. And General Manager Bob Myers knows it. The team has one open roster spot remaining, assuming they guarantee Alfonzo McKinnie’s contract (which...

The Golden Breakdown: Examining Jordan Bell’s excellent two-way play against the Suns

The Golden Breakdown: Examining Jordan Bell’s excellent two-way play against the Suns

Jordan Bell has been experiencing a sophomore slump. His excellent play on both ends against the Phoenix Suns may serve as the spark that finally breaks him out of it. When the Golden State Warriors paid $3.5 million to the Chicago Bulls for the rights to the number 38 pick of the 2017 NBA draft, it was a move that was closely scrutinized as another instance of the Warriors’ stroke of drafting genius. After all, Draymond Green was drafted in the second round of the 2012 draft, after which he blossomed into an elite defender and playmaker; Patrick McCaw was acquired by the Warriors after...

Warriors’ Jordan Bell, Kevon Looney say they’d welcome Patrick McCaw back

Patrick McCaw recently signed an offer sheet with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the Golden State Warriors have the opportunity to match that offer if they’d like. If the Warriors do decide to bring back McCaw, it will be interesting to see how the locker room takes him in. “I’m cool with him. That’s my guy. Jordan Bell shows up at beloved Oakland taco truck, buys everyone dinner

Christmas came early for Warriors fans in Oakland when Jordan Bell showed up at a beloved taco truck and bought everyone dinner. On Friday evening, the Warriors star — just in search of some dinner himself — surprised Oaklanders waiting for tacos at the Tacos Mi Rancho food truck parked near Lake Merritt. After placing his order, he offered to pay for everyone else's food too, along with posing for photos with the gathering crowd.
