Kris Joseph is a Net. Billy King announced Tuesday that the 6'7" swingman has been signed to a 10-day contract, filling the 15th and final roster spot. It has been open since December when Josh Childress was waived. It was briefly filled by Damion James who also signed a 10-day contract. The Nets are calling up Kris Joseph from Springfield, filling the 15th spot open since Josh Childress was waived in December. Joseph, a 6'7" swingman, was acquired by the Armor in a trade last month. The Nets have a roster opening that they've kept ready since Josh Childress asked to be waived. Starting Friday, they'll have to start thinking seriously about filling it. March 1 is the so-called "second trade deadline." The basic rule is that if a player isn't on an NBA roster --or waived-- March 1, teams can sign him and he'll be eligible for playoff rosters.
