Kevin Durant would reject White House visit

The invitation from the White House has not been extended to the Warriors — and there’s no indication when — or if — it will be. File this situation neatly to: Another U.S. Citizen Whose Dreams Are Crushed, Thanks to Donald J. Trump. Kevin Durant’s sharp, yet insightful statements about the prospect of fulfilling a lifelong dream to celebrate an NBA Championship with a trip to the White House indicate he is of the same mind. Off-court action: Leadership recognizing leadership

Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant respond to the Trump-related events of the week with inspiration, emoji and profanity. Nary a person can argue that Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr doesn’t know a thing or two about leadership. With the Chicago Bulls, Kerr won three NBA championships (1996-98). During the 1995-96 season, the Bulls set the 75-10 regular season-win record — which would only be dethroned decades later by the Golden State Warriors during the 2015-16 season, with Kerr serving as head coach. (Kerr went on to pick up two more NBA titles with the San Antonio Spurs in...
