Weekend Recap: Nine Observations From The Bulls' Weekend Split

In the weekend recap edition of The Re-Watch, we Nikola Mirotic playing an awesome game, Doug McDermott actually playing for once, Tom Thibodeau not trusting players, and Kirk Hinrich submitting yet another glorious candidate for worst play of the year. It truly wouldn't be a Chicago Bulls season unless everybody on the roster is hurt at some point. Like, as soon as we learn Derrick Rose is expected to return this season, Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson get hurt. Pau Gasol is sick. Kirk Hinrich is, well, hold onto to that thought. And in the biggest stunner of all, I once again was not invited...

Bulls' future, like Rose's, now uncertain

CHICAGO -- The nightmare has returned for Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls. The news of Rose's meniscus tear hit hard within the organization late Tuesday night for a multitude reasons. But the overall feeling from many team personnel was disbelief and sadness. In the short-term, Rose's status for the rest of the season remains uncertain. Bulls general manager Gar Forman and executive vice president John Paxson are likely going to have to add another point guard to play alongside Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks.

Gibson, Hinrich out with illness for game against Bucks tonight

[Thanks again to Swoove for today's preview. Game preview spots are available, so sign up if you're interested. -yfbb] Exit Brandon Knight, Kenyon Martin, and Kendall Marshall; enter Michael Carter-Williams [who's also out tonight -yfbb], Tyler Ennis, and Miles Plumlee. The dust from the crazy trade deadline has just about settled, and NBA life has returned to normal . . . more or less. The Milwaukee Bucks are in town and have some new weapons in their arsenal. With a 31-24 record, the Bucks are seven and a half games and eight games ahead of the Miami Heat and the Brooklyn Nets...

Happy with roster, Bulls quiet at deadline

CHICAGO -- While there were a flurry of trade deadline deals around the league, all was quiet at the Advocate Center on Thursday afternoon. The 2 p.m. CST trade deadline passed, and the Bulls announced that general manager Gar Forman wouldn’t need to address the media. The Bulls are 34-20, currently in third place in the Eastern Conference. The team is relatively healthy -- Mike Dunleavy (right ankle), Kirk Hinrich (left turf toe) and Jimmy Butler (right shoulder strain) were all listed as probable for Friday's game against the Pistons in Auburn Hills, Mich.

Bulls vs. Kings game preview, lineups, injury report

Bulls Look To Stand Firm Against Their Kryptonite - A Young, Athletic Big with Size [Thanks to Alex for today's game preview -yfbb] Well, we've come to a crossroads. Our 32-20 Bulls have been under-performing pretty much since the calendar rolled over to 2015, going a sadly pedestrian .500 after posting a 22-10 record from October through December. We need momentum heading into the All-Star break, with two rotation guys (although one of them really shouldn't be) out in Mike Dunleavy and Kirk Hinrich. [Dunleavy's 'questionable', for what it's worth -yfbb] After notching back-to-back road...
