Hornets win streak snapped by Nets, 115-86

Photo by Streeter Lecka/ The Hornets win streak will end at three games. The Charlotte Hornets struggled to generate offense as they had their modest three game win streak snapped by the Brooklyn Nets, 115-86. The teams went full gunner to start the game. The first five baskets of the game were 3-pointers, including two from Miles Bridges. The Nets didn’t even attempt a shot from inside the arc until their tenth shot attempt. After the hot start, both teams went cold for a long stretch in the middle of the quarter before the Nets found the stroke again. Malik Monk did the same,...

Clutch play from Hornets guards leads to 115-108 win over Timberwolves

Photo by David Berding/ This was a gutsy win, and the young core had their fingerprints all over it. Devonte’ Graham dropped 28 points and eight dimes while Malik Monk put up 25 points off the bench, helping the Hornets to a 115-108 win over the Timberwolves heading into the All-Star break. Devonte’ broke out a baseline fadeaway jumper that nearly scraped the ceiling for the game’s first bucket, and he’d score all of the Hornets’ first five points as they trailed 10-5 with 8:56 left in the opening frame. With 6:35 to go, some dastardly devil unplugged the game clocks and shot...
