Kings 109, Blazers 105: Marco Belinelli and Darren Collison fuel comeback win

What a first game of Kings basketball!  After a very sloppy first half, the Kings rallied in the second half thanks to strong performances from their bench players, namely Marco Belinelli and Darren Collison, and ended up turning what had been a 17 points deficit to a 4 point overtime victory.  Belinelli finished with a game-high 32 points on 12-18 shooting, with most of that coming in the fourth quarter and overtime.  Collison chipped in a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds and DeMarcus Cousins had 22 points and 7 rebounds for Sacramento. Omer will have a more detailed recap...

30Q: Help Jerry Reynolds come up with new nicknames!

Every year, Jerry Reynolds and Sactown Royalty enter into a mutually beneficial contract in which we come up with crazy new nicknames for the players and then he uses them on air.  Some of these nicknames ("The Brock Ness Monster", "The Hustlin' Husky", "The Great Rudini") have gone on to great acclaim. The Kings added a whopping 8 new players this year, so it's time we give Jerry some fresh new material for the upcoming season.  We need nicknames for Willie Cauley-Stein, Marco Belinelli, Kosta Koufos, Rajon Rondo, James Anderson, Seth Curry, Duje Dukan and Caron Butler.  Feel free to...

Who will replace Marco Belinelli in the Spurs' rotation?

Kyle Anderson, Jonathon Simmons and Jimmer Fredette all have a shot at filling the role left open by Marco Belinelli's departure. Who is the best fit? With five members of the 2013/14 championship team departing this offseason, the front office had a lot of spots to fill in the roster. At the big man positions and at lead guard they managed to get depth that was needed. At the wing, however, the Spurs lack a proven performer after Marco Belinelli's departure. Auditioning for that role are three players with markedly different skill sets. Who wins the minutes could tell us a lot about what...

30Q: What will we see from Marco Belinelli?

My first memories of Marco Belinelli are from Vegas Summer League. He exploded onto the scene, scoring effortlessly as a rookie for the Golden State Warriors to the tune of 37 points in his first game. In the months that followed, he became a cautionary tale of not putting too much stock into a Summer League performance. I couldn't help but recall this as I watched Belinelli go into god mode, scoring 25 points in the second half of Italy's Eurobasket victory over Spain. International ball is a different animal. Be impressed by the performance, but keep in mind the context. So the question...
