Fantasy Update: Randolph and Wright still sitting with Green and Barnes soaking up minutes

The Memphis Grizzlies are running very low on big men and will experiment with different small-ball lineups until Zach Randolph (knee) and Brandan Wright (knee) are able to return. Randolph is likely only to miss a couple of more games while Wright has no definite timeline for his return. With those two players out the Grizzlies have utilized a lot more of Jeff Green and Matt Barnes, Green starting at PF and Barnes at SF last night. Matt Barnes is averaging 34 MPG, 12 PPG and nearly 6 RPG in the last three games. He's shooting much better from the field but still struggling from three....

Gasol and Barnes With Gritty Defensive Play and Sweet Fast Break

Marc Gasol plays quarterback for a moment and delivers the long pass to Matt Barnes on the fast break for the dunk. After stealing the ball from Danny Green, Gasol and Barnes orchestrated a smooth fast break in the third quarter. On this play, Marc Gasol thew a quarterback-esque pass down to Matt Barnes, who finished the fast break with a commanding dunk. The bucket cut the deficit to 6, but the lead for the Spurs quickly expanded again. Barnes had 10 points on the night, and Gasol had 6 assists.

Vince Carter Makes Difficult Fadeaway And-1

Vince Carter has still got it. Vince Carter has gotten some minutes the past two games, and he's made the best of them. So far tonight, he has 5 points in less than 10 minutes. With less than a minute left in the first quarter, Carter made a tough and-1 jumper that cut the deficit to 5. Carter has shown in the last two games that he can still contribute to this team. In this play, Vince did a great job finishing the play and afterwards made the free throw.

Recapping The Enemy: The View From San Antonio

The Memphis Grizzlies' four game win streak came to an end tonight with a 92-82 loss in San Antonio. What did the enemy say before, during, and after tonight's game? Pre-game views - Conley and Chalmers are probably going to combine for 60, tbh. - Interesting matchup. The spurs aren't as bad of a matchup for Memphis as they were two years ago...well see. Chalmers is contributing really well. - Can't wait to see Chalmers score 30.. Anyway, Spurs with Manu win by 10, Spurs without Manu lose by 20. (SPOT ON). - It should be a good game bc the Grizzlies have trended up, but I will miss...

Conley Delivers Smooth Pass To Slashing Matt Barnes

Barnes cashes in under the rim off the sweet pass from Mike Conley. Matt Barnes slashed to the rim as Mike Conley delivered the slick pass to him to put Memphis up 19-16 in this play. Barnes has 10 points and is 4-7 from the field so far tonight. Also, Conley has 15 points and 5 assists in the game. Matt Barnes did a great job getting away from him man in this play to get an open shot at the rim, and he's given the Grizz some valuable minutes. Let's hope his solid play continues in the second half!

Replay: Matt Barnes Hits Back-To-Back Three's

Barnes hit two three's and scored 11 in the fourth quarter to spark a late Memphis run. Matt Barnes ignited a huge Grizzlies run during the fourth quarter, including two three's on back-to-back possessions. In the end, the rally wasn't enough to overcome the Jazz, but it was nice to see some real effort and offensive rhythm from Barnes. Let's hope it carries over to the Clippers game on Monday. Check out his two three's here:

Recapping the Enemy: The View From Utah

Pre-, in-, and post-game views from Jazz fans. Pre-game views -I'll be mighty surprised if any team reaches 100 points in this game. This one might get ugly. -Conley is my pipe dream of a PG. He's exactly what we need at the point guard position. -Grizzlies and Jazz season are parallel... they have lost vs Cavs and Warriors, then vs Blazers as the only one unexpected. And they have won vs Pacers, awful Nets and Kings without Cousins.. The difference is they won 55 last year and we were out of playoff, so I guess we are improving and they have not began pretty well this season. -Jazz can...

Replay: Jeff Green Soars For Tomahawk Dunk

Jeff Green flies for the impressive fast break dunk! There's a lot of things that went wrong for the Grizz in the first half, but at least we got to see perhaps Jeff Green's best dunk of the season so far. The bucket would occur in the middle of the second quarter, and Jeff Green has 4 points at halftime. Both buckets came from dunks. Check it out:

Matt Barnes Rejects Speights and Converts The 3 On Other End

We saw a flash of peak Matt Barnes on both ends of the court in this sequence. Matt Barnes gave terrific effort on the defensive and offensive end in this sequence to put the Grizzlies up 22-19. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies' lead would quickly evaporate in the second quarter and the Grizzlies are down big going into the second half. Barnes needs to deliver more plays like these to help the Grizzlies make a second half comeback: (Editor's note: This was the last pleasant moment in the entire game.)

Final: Los Angeles Clippers 104, Dallas Mavericks 88

Yes DeAndre, we're still upset. What did the Clippers do over the offseason? Hmm, I don't seem to recall anything of note. Paul Pierce reunited with Doc Rivers to give the Clippers an outside scoring threat that can play in almost any lineup. They banished Matt Barnes to the eastern shores of North Carolina to bring in Lance Stephenson for a redemption opportunity. Josh Smith left his good buddy Dwight Howard to joins the Clippers talented, but mercurial bench all the while receiving hefty checks from Mr. Van Gundy. Oh, and they re-signed DeAndre Jordan. What will be the most intriguing...
