Warriors’ Kevin Durant still questionable for Game 4

The eight-time All-Star is questionable, a team spokesman told The Chronicle. Durant, who has now missed two straight games with a left calf strain, appears to be almost completely healthy. Additionally, Shaun Livingston (right index finger sprain) and Matt Barnes (right ankle/foot sprain) are questionable for Game 4. The Blazers announced Sunday that center Jusuf Nurkic, who returned from a fractured right leg for Game 3, has been ruled out for Game 4.

Portland’s Jusuf Nurkic ruled out for Game 4

Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic has been ruled out for Game 4 of the first round against the Warriors, Portland head coach Terry Stotts told reporters Sunday. Nurkic returned from a fractured right leg for Game 3 on Saturday, finishing with two points, 11 rebounds and four assists in 17 minutes. Kevin Durant (left calf strain), Shaun Livingston (right index finger sprain) and Matt Barnes (right ankle/foot sprain) are all questionable for Game 4. The status of head coach Steve Kerr, who missed Game 3 with an illness, is also up in the air.

Warriors’ Kevin Durant ruled out for Game 3 vs. Blazers

Head coach Steve Kerr has said that he would only play Durant, who missed Game 2 with a left calf strain, if the eight-time All-Star is 100 percent healthy. Durant fully participated in a light practice Friday before going through a 25-minute post-workout shooting session with Stephen Curry. In addition to Durant, point guard Shaun Livingston (right index finger) and forward Matt Barnes (right ankle/foot) are out for Game 3.

Portland’s Jusuf Nurkic still doubtful for Game 3

Portland center Jusuf Nurkic remains doubtful for Game 3 of the first round Saturday night against the Warriors, Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts told reporters at the team’s shoot-around. Nurkic, who is trying to return from a leg injury that has sidelined him since March 30, would provide Portland a much-needed boost. With the Bosnian big man out, the Blazers dug a 2-0 hole in the series as JaVale McGee and others had their way inside. Kevin Durant (left calf), Matt Barnes (right foot) and point guard Shaun Livingston (index finger) are all questionable for Game 3.

Portland’s Jusuf Nurkic doubtful for Game 3 vs. Warriors

Portland center Jusuf Nurkic is doubtful for Game 3 of the first round Saturday against the Warriors, Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts told reporters. Nurkic, who is trying to return from a leg injury that has sidelined him since March 30, would provide Portland a much-needed boost. In 20 games with the Blazers this season, Nurkic averaged 15.2 points and 10.4 rebounds. Kevin Durant (left calf), Matt Barnes (right foot) and point guard Shaun Livingston (index finger) are all questionable for Game 3.

Warriors’ Kevin Durant questionable for Game 3

Because it is up 2-0 on the Trail Blazers, Golden State has the luxury of being cautious with Durant. Durant sustained the calf injury late in the third quarter of the Warriors’ Game 1 victory Sunday. Though he stayed in the game to polish off a 32-point, 11-rebound performance, the four-time NBA scoring champion was in enough pain to miss Tuesday’s practice and Wednesday morning’s shoot-around. In addition to Durant, forward Matt Barnes (right foot) and point guard Shaun Livingston (index finger) are questionable for Game 3.

Warriors decimate Trail Blazers (110-81) without Kevin Durant

Golden State locked in defensively and the bench unit stepped up in the Game 2 victory against Portland. In the second game of their first-round series against the Portland Trailblazers, the Golden State Warriors reminded everyone why they're the most dangerous team in the world. There was a chance that this game could have been a nail-biter with Kevin Durant sitting out due to a calf strain, along with key bench players Shaun Livingston (finger) and Matt Barnes (foot). However in the end the Warriors locked in defensively and everyone on the bench stepped up to make up for the losses....

Warriors’ Kevin Durant to miss Game 2 vs. Blazers

Warriors forward Kevin Durant will miss Game 2 of the first round Wednesday night against Portland with a strained left calf, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said. Though he stayed in the game to polish off a 32-point, 11-rebound performance, the four-time NBA scoring champion was in enough pain to miss Tuesday’s practice and Wednesday morning’s shoot-around. Getting Durant healthy for a championship push that could stretch deep into June ultimately took priority. In addition to Durant, the Warriors will sit point guard Shaun Livingston (right index finger), and forwards Matt Barnes...

Warriors’ Kevin Durant still questionable for Game 2

Warriors forward Kevin Durant is still questionable for Game 2 of the first round Wednesday against Portland with a left calf strain after not participating in shoot-around. Additionally, Shaun Livingston (right index finger) and Matt Barnes (right ankle) missed shoot-around and remain questionable. The official designation of “questionable” suggests that a player has a 50 percent chance of playing, though the fact that Durant, Livingston and Barnes haven’t participated in a team workout since Sunday’s Game 1 win over the Trail Blazers doesn’t help their chances.

Warriors forward Kevin Durant is questionable for Game 2 of the first round Wednesday against Portland with a left calf strain, Golden State has announced. Durant, who sustained the injury in Sunday’s Game 1 victory, missed practice Tuesday.
