Third time around, Beasley showed growth with Heat

Michael Beasley's third go-round with the Miami Heat, the team that drafted him second overall in 2008, was born out of necessity after the team lost Chris Bosh for the season and they were desperate for some scoring punch off the bench. Beasley was first signed to a 10-day contract by the Heat on February 26 and then re-signed to a second 10-day contract on March 8 after making an immediate impact with the team.
