The Nets open Summer League play in Las Vegas, taking on the Magic. Brooklyn started Milton Doyle, James Webb III, Tyler Davis and Semaj Christon. Neither Jarrett Allen nor Caris LeVert are playing in the game. The Nets have said the two NBA players will not play every game. Ding Yanyuhang, who had been signed to play for the Nets, returned to China after a knee injury.

Nets re-signing Milton Doyle

The Brooklyn Nets have tendered a qualifying offer to two-way player Milton Doyle, Keith Smith of RealGM reports Thursday. Doyle, a 6’4” combo guard from Loyola Chicago, was signed to a two-way contract after averaging 10 points in the Las Vegas Summer League. He became one of the G-League’s top scorers for the Long Island Nets, averaging 20.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 37.2 percent from deep.
