After Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said the Hornets were looking to add another big man to help the team while Noah Vonleh recovers from a surgically repaired sports hernia, there was some speculation as to who that big might be. When former Bobcat Nazr Mohammed was spotted working out with the Hornets a few weeks ago, some wondered if Mohammed would be the team's new addition. The Bulls have re-signed center Nazr Mohammed, the team announced today.

Nazr Mohammed re-signs with Bulls

Center Nazr Mohammed will return for a 17th NBA season after re-signing with the Chicago Bulls on Monday. The 6-foot-10, 250-pound Mohammed, 37, will be back for a third season with his hometown Bulls, one of eight teams he has played for since being a first-round draft pick of the Utah Jazz in 1998. He played in 80 games with the Bulls last season, averaging 1.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in 7 minutes a game.
