Paul Pierce wouldn’t mind rejoining the Celtics.
Nets Blog | ESPN New York Mar 7, 2014
Brooklyn Nets forward Paul Pierce suffered another stinger in the third quarter of Friday night’s loss to the Boston Celtics. Pierce came out of the game while trainer Tim Walsh worked on his shoulder, but returned in the fourth. “It’s been a problem for me throughout the last few years,” said Pierce, who was also briefly forced out of Wednesday night’s game because of the injury. “It’s weak right now, so whenever I get hit in that shoulder .

Paul Pierce will be a free agent this coming summer, which leaves the door open for a possible return to Boston. I don't think any fan of the Celtics would frown upon a Paul Pierce return. I think a lot goes into a potential return for the fan favorite. Pierce without a doubt has a couple more years of quality play. But where does he see himself as a player. His role with the Nets right now is somewhat complicated. At the beginning of the year I would say Pierce would have been the 4th option, or maybe the 3rd option depending how Williams plays. With a season ending injury to Brook Lopez,...

Paul Pierce played just 1-minute and 13 seconds tonight before leaving with a right shoulder injury. Pierce took an elbow from Jason Thompson to an area right under his shoulder that caused him to go back to the locker room. This was the third consecutive game that Pierce left early with a shoulder/neck injury. The Nets continued to get more banged up as the game progressed. Andrei Kirilenko was ruled out towards the end of the third quarter with a sprained right ankle. Kirilenko said after the game that he initially injured his ankle in the first quarter, but played through it. Kirilenko...

Paul Pierce has come to the defense of his former teammate Rajon Rondo, and he should have his back. Pierce probably has some hard feelings for Ainge after being traded, so I'm not shocked by his comments. CBSPierce also threw in his two cents on the controversy surrounding his former teammate Rajon Rondo skipping out on the Celtics’ trip to Sacramento two weeks ago. Boston’s star point guard remained in Los Angeles to celebrate his birthday with his family, despite being asked by Brad Stevens and Danny Ainge to remain with the team on the trip.“I thought it was great he enjoyed his...

Boston blogs and news reports were filled Saturday with speculation that Paul Pierce could return to the Celtics in a playing or coaching capacity, based on what has to be considered a throwaway line in a post-game interview. "Yeah, why not? Maybe play for them, maybe work for them," the forward saidafter the Nets lost to his former team, at TD Garden. He also said he might want to start a business in Boston once he retired, maybe a sports bar. Pierce will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and there are a number of possibilities for him. Most unlikely is that he retires,...

Paul Pierce has been in the captains chair before, 15 years to be exact. So he knows a thing or two about being the leader of the Celtics. Especially in the lean years when all hope seems lost in a rebuilding phase. Pierce and Rondo share different paths, but so much alike at the same time. Pierce seemed like he was wasting his talents playing for a team full of rookies and young guys. Pierce didn't know what the future would hold for him Boston. We all know the rest, Pierce is a champion and Finals MVP because he remained patient with the Celtics. CSNNE"Just staying patient," Pierce said....
