While Richardson had three rebounds and a 3-pointer, which he's known for, Barron scored seven points -- all in the first quarter -- and grabbed 11 rebounds (four offensive). His career accuracy from downtown is a respectable 35.5 percent. Three years ago, playing for the Heat, he nearly shot 40 percent from long range. But now that he's in New York for the second time -- he played here from 2005-09 -- he wants to focus on defense, not one of his strong suits. "The one thing I know about this team is they got enough offense," Richardson, who signed on Tuesday, said after Wednesday morning's shootaround.

Richardson, who played for the Knicks from the 2005-06 through 2008-09, last played in the NBA in 2011-12 where he appeared in 48 games for the Magic. Knicks Blog | ESPN New York — The Knicks have announced the signing of small forward Quentin Richardson, who played in New York from 2005-09. Because Richardson hasn't suited up this season, he's playoff-eligible and brings the team's roster to a maximum of 15. In 12 years in the NBA, Richardson, 33, has averaged 10.3 points and shot a respectable 35.5 percent from 3-point range. "It gives us one more perimeter guy that can defend a little bit, that can make shots and space the floor like we play," Mike Woodson said Tuesday on ESPN New York 98.
