Shavlik Randolph is found money

CelticsBlog — Don't you just love that feeling of pulling out a coat or pair of pants that you haven't worn in half a year and finding money in it (or something that you had been looking for)? It is unexpected and a minor thrill. That's a bit like how I feel about Shavlik Randolph. I had zero expectations of him. None. Zippy. So basically it wasn't hard for him to exceed my expectations. Now, all of a sudden, I'm penciling him into the rotation for next year. How did this happen? In a word, rebounds. Terrence Williams to the rescue

CelticsBlog — Doc used a seven man rotation yesterday that didn't feature Courtney Lee, Jordan Crawford, or Chris Wilcox. He didn't throw in D.J. White, Shavlik Randolph, or Fab Melo to give Garnett a blow. Instead, he went to Terrence Williams. The Terrence Williams that spent much of the 2013 season with the Guangdong Southern Tigers. The Terrence Williams that has spent four years in the NBA with four different teams. That Terrence Williams. In Doc's words, "Sometimes you pull out a card. It was him tonight." Bruised back won't slow Randolph

Boston Celtics Blog | ESPN Boston — NEW YORK -- Despite sitting out the second half of Boston's regular-season finale against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday with a sore lower back, Celtics forward Shavlik Randolph said before the team's final pre-playoffs practice on Friday that the injury is nothing more than a bruise. Can Shav rebound in finale?

For Randolph, it’s no big deal

Boston Herald — A couple of months ago, Shavlik Randolph was The Man . . . with the Foshan Long Lions. Bloody good play for Shav

Boston Celtics Blog | ESPN Boston — Jared Wickerham/Getty ImagesThe only thing that can slow Shavlik Randolph lately: A two-week nosebleed.Boston Celtics center Shavlik Randolph got hit in the face so hard last month in Memphis that the slightest touch restarts what amounts to a two-week nosebleed. During the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Washington Wizards, after the latest thump aggravated the familiar red trickle, Randolph sat on the Boston bench with two wads of cotton jammed up his nostrils and a huge grin.

Cut by Wizards in training camp, Shavlik Randolph provides boost in Celtics' win

Washington Post — The former Wizard wasn't looking for revenge. He wasn't looking to show the team that cut ties with him that it made a mistake.
