Rudy Gay Tears Achilles In Kings’ 106-100 Loss To Pacers

Rudy Gay Tears Achilles In Kings’ 106-100 Loss To Pacers

What a disaster. The Indiana Pacers found themselves in Sacramento tonight to face the Kings on their final game of what has been a disastrous 7-game homestand. The Kings desperately needed a win tonight, but maybe even more importantly than the win, this season had started to take a serious turn for the depressing over the last week, so any sign of life would have been appreciated. Fortunately for all parties, the Kings had one of the better first quarters they’ve had all season. With Ty Lawson out, Dave Joerger sent Garrett Temple and his decent handle to the bench, forcibly...

Kings vs. Pacers Preview: Sacramento Looks to End Homestand With a Victory

As the Kings are set to head out on the road, they have one more shot at a win against Paul George and the Pacers. Losers in five of their last six games, the Kings come into Friday’s game against the Pacers bruised, but not yet broken. Having already lost Omri Casspi for a few weeks with a calf strain, and with upstart point guard Ty Lawson a game time decision with an ankle injury, the Kings will have to pull together, and find a way win against a Pacer’s team looking to reestablish themselves as one of the Eastern Conference’s elite teams. Led by former All-Star Paul George, and...

Final Score: Cavaliers reverse slide, top Kings 120-108

Cleveland picked up a much-needed win Friday. The Cavaliers shook off their two-game skid with a 120-108 road win over the Sacramento Kings Friday. Despite holding a double digit lead for most of the game, the Cavs could not put Sacramento away. Sacramento did not go away easily in the fourth quarter. After an Aaron Afflalo jumper made it an 84-76, Kyle Korver sank a 3-pointer to put the Cavs back up double digits. The Kings responded with a Ty Lawson jump shot to make it 87-77. Then Richard Jefferson hit a triple only to have Rudy Gay answer with a 3-pointer of his own, making it 90-81....

Ty Lawson (eye) has blurred vision, questionable for Sacramento

Sacramento Kings point guard Ty Lawson is questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Miami Heat. What It Means: Lawson is dealing with an injury in his right eye known as hyphema, which seems to have caused blurred vision as a result. Darren Collison would likely draw another start after replacing Lawson on Tuesday. Collison is averaging 21.0 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds, with a 56.3 field goal percentage, in two games since Lawson suffered the injury. He comes with a $4,500 price tag on FanDuel Wednesday night. Source: Rotoworld.com

Kings 94, Jazz 93: Bench fuels gutsy comeback

Ty Lawson and the bench-a-teers bring the Kings back from 20 down to deliver a win Somehow, the Sacramento Kings got the job done. Facing a 20 point third quarter deficit, on the second night of a back-to-back on the road against a quality (albeit wounded) opponent, they looked dead in the water. I don’t know where they found the willpower to make this work, but they did. Game ball definitely goes to Ty Lawson, but the entire bench unit deserves medals for their excellent work against the Jazz. Lawson was absolutely brilliant again, weaving his way in and around the Jazz’s vaunted...
