Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook offered a warning that he will seek retribution for a hard foul on him on Wednesday by Golden State's Zaza Pachulia. Pachulia delivered a flagrant foul on Westbrook late in the second quarter of the Warriors' 121-100 rout of the Thunder, striking the guard in the face as he attempted a shot then appearing to stand over him as he lay on the court. "I'm going to get his ass back," Westbrook told reporters.

Warriors use another big 3rd quarter to rout Magic

A 25-point Warriors lead had left head coach Steve Kerr comfortable enough to play his 7-foot project for just the second time this season. Golden State overcame a sloppy start to finish 47.2 percent from the field (45.2 percent from three-point range). Kevin Durant (15 points, 10 rebounds, six assists), Klay Thompson (21 points), Zaza Pachulia (14 points) and JaVale McGee (13 points) helped Golden State withstand a 1-of-7 outing from Draymond Green. With leading scorer Evan Fournier sidelined by a sore right foot, the Magic eventually wore down. A cavalcade of missed jumpers crippled the...

Warriors’ McAdoo makes most of playing time in win over Houston

HOUSTON — Late in the first quarter Friday night, Stephen Curry found James Michael McAdoo in the post for a two-handed dunk. “It felt good,” said McAdoo, who finished Golden State’s 125-108 win over the Rockets with a season-high eight points. With center David West out with a thumb injury, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made McAdoo his first big man off the bench Friday. Stuck behind West, Zaza Pachulia, JaVale McGee and, at times, even Anderson Varejao on the depth chart, McAdoo relied on extra conditioning work and post-practice games of three-on-three to stay in shape. Kerr...

Ten Things About the NBA: The Week 12 Edition

Phil has ten things about the NBA this week he wants you to know about Zaza getting Down!! One of my favorite European players is Zaza Pachulia. One of my least favorite players is Russell Westbrook. Pachulia gives me another reason to like him when he did this to Westbrook Wednesday night. While I found it highly entertaining something did leave me scratching my head. Where were the Oklahoma City Thunder players and why didn’t one of them attempt to protect or even show outrage over their fallen leader? Since no one from the Thunder decided not to protect Urkel he never fails to...

The new NBA All-Star voting method was an improvement, but it needs 2 changes

Here are two things the NBA can change so that the All-Star voting is even better next year. Zaza Pachulia is a great dude. For those reasons, it would have been amusing if Pachulia ended up as an All-Star starter.

Warriors’ Durant, Curry named All-Star starters

In 2015, when Klay Thompson was an injury replacement in the starting lineup alongside Curry, Golden State snapped a 48-year streak without two starters in the same All-Star Game (Rick Barry and Nate Thurmond in 1967). Despite a strong push from his native country of Georgia, the Warriors’ Zaza Pachulia is unlikely to make his first career All-Star appearance next month. After Pachulia came within 15,000 votes of being an All-Star starter last season, the NBA changed its voting system. Durant leads Golden State in scoring (26.2 points per game), blocks (1.7), free throws made (240), is...

Report: NBA to review Pachulia foul, Westbrook comments

Report: NBA to review Pachulia foul, Westbrook comments The NBA is expected to review Golden State center Zaza Pachulia’s hard foul on Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook, as well as Westbrook’s postgame comments, per an ESPN report. After a lengthy review by officials, he was assessed a Flagrant 1. “We’re thinking about this team and staying healthy moving forward and, better, getting into the playoffs and playing for the championship,” Pachulia said. Explain One Play: Zaza Pachulia pick and roll with Curry and Durant

Zaza dished out the hard fouls and the pick and roll playmaking in the Thunder-Warriors game on Jan 18, 2017. The People’s Choice, Zaza Pachulia, is starting to look more comfortable out there. He still has passes bounce off him, but he’s working hard for rebounds. He’s comfortable enough to take Draymond’s role dealing out the hard flagrant fouls. And he’s also playing Draymond’s playmaking role in the pick and roll. This is a great sign, and his hard-nosed play and solid passing make up for his slow ways and Zay-ups, those many muffed layups. Zaza pick and roll with Curry The...
