Peachtree Hoops — Expectations Zaza Pachulia really stepped up for a injured Al Horford in the shortened season. Unfortunately he may have been given too many minutes (lot of 38 plus minute games), which is ironic since Mike Woodson and Larry Drew had both minimized his court time the two previous years. Sadly Zaza wasn’t available for the playoffs. The expectations for this season were different between Larry Drew and a lot of the fans. Pachulia wants to stay with Hawks

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Center Zaza Pachulia, who will be an unrestricted free agent over the summer, said he wants to return to the Hawks next season, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Pachulia is still wearing a walking boot after undergoing surgery to repair his partially torn right Achilles. “How can I not (want to be back),” Pachulia said. “ I've been here eight years. I call Atlanta home. You guys know the relationship between me and fans. I would love to be back again. This is my third time being a free agent, and we all understand the business, but again, we’ll see what July brings.”

Peachtree Hoops — The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly already expressed an interest in re-signing Kyle Korver who will be a unrestricted free agent this summer. Korver was acquired in a salary dump from the Chicago Bulls last offseason and averaged 10.9 points per game while making 46 percent of his three point attempts. Zaza Pachulia has successful surgery to repair Achilles injury

Peachtree HoopsZaza Pachulia underwent successful surgery on Tuesday to repair his sore Achilles tendon. Per the release, Pachulia will now face a period of rest, treatment and rehabilitation before he will be able to return to the court. Total recovery time is estimated at six-months. Pachulia battled the injury for much of the season appearing in 52 games while averaging 5.9 points and 6.5 rebounds. The timing is less than ideal for Pachulia whose four-year $19 million expires at the end of the season. Peachtree Hoops — The Hawks received unfortunate news Saturday, learning that center Zaza Pachulia will miss the remainder of the season to have surgery to repair a partially torn right Achilles. Pachulia will have the surgery performed by Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, North Carolina at Mercy Hospital. Zaza said that after meeting with several doctors, he felt that Dr. Anderson was the best option due to his familiarity with the injury and his experience with Achilles surgeries.
