A Boston Celtics official says the team has agreed to terms with Paul Pierce on a new contract. The official familiar with the deal spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the free agent signing period does not begin until Thursday, July 8, 2010.

- Ron Artest has mastered the art of interviewing Lakers Blog | Los Angeles Times Beyond the pendulum swing of his cocky and humble answers, his openness and defensiveness, his realism and delusion, the thing I most enjoyed about Ron Artest interviewing himself in ESPN the Magazine entailed how much of a hard-hitting reporter he showed he could be. He should certainly keep his day job with the Lakers, given the differences in pay. But I couldn't help but marvel at how well the interview had gone.
