Milwaukee Bucks: The Hall of Fame case for Marques Johnson

Now that Milwaukee Bucks legend Bob Dandridge has been officially inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, it’s time for fans to turn their attention to another Bucks legend who has yet to get his due: Marques Johnson. It is somewhat understandable why Johnson has yet to receive the call to the Hall […] Milwaukee Bucks: The Hall of Fame case for Marques Johnson - Behind the Buck Pass - Behind the Buck Pass - A Milwaukee Bucks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinions and More

Milwaukee Bucks: 5 free agents Jon Horst thankfully did not chase

The Milwaukee Bucks are fresh off their first championship in 50 years, and they will no doubt have competition if they have any hopes of repeating. Following the title, general manager Jon Horst spent the offseason making a slew of moves via the draft, free agency, and trade to bolster the roster. Now that free […] Milwaukee Bucks: 5 free agents Jon Horst thankfully did not chase - Behind the Buck Pass - Behind the Buck Pass - A Milwaukee Bucks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinions and More

Ranking the Roster: Grayson Allen Trips into Ninth

Photo by Stacy Revere/ The former Memphis Grizzlie aims to fill the Donte void Continuing the trend of fresh arrivals flying the Rank the Roster coop, Grayson Allen (he of Duke Blue Devil infamy) is up next at ninth. In listening to this insightful pod from Locked on Bucks that interviewed someone from Locked on Grizzlies, it sounds like Allen has turned a page from the antics that besmirched his reputation coming out of college. As a UW Badger fan, I don’t really hold all that much animosity towards him anymore, although I do still despise Tyus Jones. In retrospect,...

Milwaukee Bucks: Revisiting Bobby Portis’ noble 2020-21 goals

The Milwaukee Bucks could not have predicted just how important Bobby Portis would become for the team when they signed him last offseason. While Portis was somewhat of a household name, he had bounced around the league in previous seasons and was initially glossed over among the moves made by the Bucks. Well, it seems […] Milwaukee Bucks: Revisiting Bobby Portis’ noble 2020-21 goals - Behind the Buck Pass - Behind the Buck Pass - A Milwaukee Bucks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinions and More

Milwaukee Bucks: Growth from top duo in NBA 2K series is unfathomable

When Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton first joined forces on the Milwaukee Bucks eight seasons ago, they were certainly not held in the same regard as they are now. If you need any proof, look no further than their individual ratings on NBA 2K14, the best-selling video game. Antetokounmpo was a 60 overall in the […] Milwaukee Bucks: Growth from top duo in NBA 2K series is unfathomable - Behind the Buck Pass - Behind the Buck Pass - A Milwaukee Bucks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinions and More

Milwaukee Bucks: Poised for another strong year defensively in 2021-22

The Milwaukee Bucks have been extremely consistent on the defensive end in recent seasons. Due to a variety of reasons, the Bucks under coach Mike Budenholzer’s direction have become a team that is very sound on the defensive end. With players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday on the roster, it is no wonder […] Milwaukee Bucks: Poised for another strong year defensively in 2021-22 - Behind the Buck Pass - Behind the Buck Pass - A Milwaukee Bucks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinions and More

Ranking the Roster: Semi Ojeleye Muscles His Way to 10th

Photo by Stacy Revere/ The man of way too many nicknames lands at 10 I have to say, I’m semi-surprised that Semi Ojeleye landed at tenth in our latest ranking the roster exercise. It’s not to say he deserves to be higher, I actually don’t think he should, but given he’s being brought in as effectively the “PJ Tucker replacement,” I wondered if the voters would give him a tad bit of a bump up the old importance meter. Instead, I think he was properly placed at 10 with a healthy bit of skepticism given how little he played in Boston near the end of his tenure....

Milwaukee Bucks: Regrading the infamous Malcolm Brogdon trade

By this point, I’m sure most Milwaukee Bucks fans are tired of hearing about the Malcolm Brogdon trade. I’ll be honest, for a while, I was too! However, everyone who said the Bucks wouldn’t win a championship because they let Brogdon go has an egg on their face. It’s finally time we revisit this trade with […] Milwaukee Bucks: Regrading the infamous Malcolm Brogdon trade - Behind the Buck Pass - Behind the Buck Pass - A Milwaukee Bucks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinions and More

Ranking the Roster: Rodney Hood Descends Mt. Hood at 11

Photo by Gary Dineen/NBAE via The former Oregonian and first of the Bucks’ free agent additions is voted off Next up in our series is veteran wing Rodney Hood, joining the Bucks on a minimum contract for the upcoming season, and hopefully providing... something? Hood was drafted at 23rd out of Duke in 2014 by Utah, where he spent three and a half seasons. By year two, he was a starter with some promise, starting 79 games while averaging 14.5 PPG on .420/.359/.860 shooting. Beyond that, he provided little else: 3.4 RPG, 2.7 APG (which both still stand as his career...
