New York Post — MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A visit from the team with the worst record in the NBA helped end Memphis’ home skid. But the Grizzlies almost gave it away on Monday night. Mike Conley and Rudy Gay had 21 points each, and Marc Gasol added 19 points and 13 rebounds and Memphis...

New Brooklyn arena's interior design revealed

New York Post — The Nets should finally have a true home-court advantage when they flee New Jersey for Brooklyn in 2012 as the team’s new $1 billion digs feature enough lower-level seating to keeps fans close to the action. With the groundbreaking for the long-anticipated Barclays Center set for Thursday, the Nets...

Barclays Center takes shape as Nets battle history

The InterNets | New York Daily News — A sketch of the upcoming Barclays Center in Brooklyn, as it'll appear during Nets games. The Nets released an image of the Barclays Center earlier today and you've got to admit, the place looks pretty nice. In fact, I was at the FedEx Forum in Memphis this morning and the Barclays Center, at least the picture of it, reminds me a lot of that place. Same colors, similar layout. The FedEx Forum is one of the nicer arenas in the league, so that's a pretty good standard to shoot for. Don't forget, there is a ground-breaking ceremony in Brooklyn at 1:30 on Thursday. As for the team, the Nets play th...

  • Tackling the Rhodes interview The Jets Stream | New York Daily News We've probably spent too much time on this already, but ... There are two comments I'd like to make regarding Kerry Rhodes' radio interview yesterday: 1. It was incredibly selfish of him to criticize the coaches for reducing his leadership role and not featuring him in the defense. Understandably, he was hurt by having to yield play-calling duties to fellow safety Jim Leonhard, but look at the facts: The defense finished NO. 1 IN THE LEAGUE. Obviously, the coaches knew what they were doing. If the Jets had finished somewhere in the middle of the pack, then, yes, he'd have every right to be ups...
  • Need the points Rangers Rants | Bergen Record This is the point in the season where it’s absolutely fine to obsessively check the standings on a daily basis as the Rangers try to work their way into the playoffs. All along, when I’ve been asked, I’ve said repeatedly I still believe the Rangers are going to slip into the eighth slot and face the Capitals (again) in the first round. But the ninth-place Rangers need to start backing up my words. Goes without saying getting two points tonight against the sliding Devils - in a 6-13-1 funk - would be a big step, especially since the seventh place Canadiens have been playing well with three stra...
