Quade Green finishes Bahamas trip in style by starting the ‘Midnight Club’

Similar to the ‘Breakfast Club,’ Quade Green started the ‘Midnight Club,’ which clearly paid off in a big way for the veteran guard. Despite a dismal start in his first game of the Bahamas trip, Quade Green followed it up with three strong games in a row. To put it simply, Green was terrible versus the Bahamas National Team on Wednesday night. I know it’s only August, but after such a good game by pretty much everyone else, it was disappointing to see the veteran point guard play so horribly. Green was 1-11 from the field and 0-6 from three-point land for a whopping two points....

5 more thoughts and postgame notes from Kentucky’s win over San Lorenzo

5 more thoughts and postgame notes from Kentucky’s win over San Lorenzo

Kentucky improves to 2-0 in the Bahamas with an impressive win over a professional team. Day two of Christmas in August for Kentucky fans got off to a great start with the way the Cats started the game. Kentucky faced off with San Lorenzo de Almagro who is coming off winning their championship in the Argentinian league and is a much tougher opponent for the Cats then what they faced in game one against the Bahamas National team. After a game where they struggled to shoot the ball, Kentucky came out and sophomore Quade Green immediately knocks down an open three after he was in the gym...

Quade Green poised to take the keys to this Kentucky offense

Quade Green poised to take the keys to this Kentucky offense

Green has been tabbed one of the top returning college players set to replace a star from last season. At the start of the 2017-2018 season, most Kentucky fans thought Quade Green was going to be the leader of the team. But as the season went on, we all saw Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shine as he became the leader and turned himself into a lottery pick. As a result, along with his injury, Green didn’t get to step into the light like most expected. Now, it’s his time. After having a year under his belt, he should be ready to take the keys to this loaded Kentucky offense. NCAA.com thinks...

One thing for Quade Green to improve on this offseason

One thing for Quade Green to improve on this offseason

What can the sophomore guard do to take his game to another level? Quade Green decided to return to the Kentucky Wildcats for his sophomore season after a decent freshman campaign. His stats were average with 9.3 points per game, 2.7 assists per game, and he shot 37% from the three point line making him one of the better shooters on the team. At times, the offense flowed better with Green running the point guard position. That role was his to start the season but he eventually lost it to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. One of the main reasons was that Green suffered an injury that caused him to...

Calipari keeps gushing over this team’s work ethic and toughness

Calipari keeps gushing over this team’s work ethic and toughness

The Cats just finished their first pre-Bahamas practice, and Cal is still a very happy man. The 2018-19 Kentucky Wildcats have a chance to be a special team. Much of that is due to the wealth of talent this team has from all 10 of their scholarship players, eight of which were a five-star recruit in at least one recruiting service. And for once, it also includes a great amount of experience, highlighted by fifth-year senior Reid Travis to go with sophomores Nick Richards, Quade Green and PJ Washington But what continues to impress John Calipari with this team is their drive to become the...
