UGA athletic board approves $9 million in facility improvements including first step in new Sanford Stadium project

GREENSBORO | The Georgia Athletic Association board of directors took the first step of bringing a new football locker room and recruiting room to the west end zone side of Sanford Stadium when it approved $1 million for a design study and other planning for the project. It was part of $9 million in athletic facility improvements that got the go-ahead Thursday at its spring meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation.
