Jalen Hurts transfers to Oklahoma

Jalen Hurts transfers to Oklahoma

His final season will be spent in crimson, but not in Tuscaloosa. We knew it wouldn’t be long before Jalen Hurts made his intentions known, and he did so today via The Players’ Tribune. Before telling the world that he would be headed to Oklahoma, he took the time to thank fans and everyone associated with the program. On his response to the benching in Atlanta: Was what happened in the 2018 National Championship Game bittersweet? Of course it was — it was a humbling experience. It was tough, man. But I am even tougher for it. I AM BUILT FOR THIS. I understand that God put those...

At that point, coaches were allowed to resume filling out their classes for 2019. For the Crimson Tide staff, there was not too much time to lick their wounds. Wide Receiver Jerry Jeudy breaks Alabama school record

Wide Receiver Jerry Jeudy breaks Alabama school record

And he broke it pretty easily. Jerry Jeudy worked his way into the record books in 2018. His 1,315 receiving yards is second all-time in school history, behind only Amari Cooper’s 1,727 yards in 2014. Julio Jones’ 1,133 yards in 2010 is now in third place. Jeudy also hauled in 14 touchdown receptions, which is also good for second all-time, again behind Amari Cooper’s 16 touchdowns in 2014 (I’m starting to think that guy was pretty good). Amari Cooper’s 11 touchdown receptions in 2012 is now just third in school history. Hey, let’s take a quick look career-wise. Amari...

Alabama loses a lineman to transfer, among other news Transferring Alabama lineman headed to Big Ten school Richie Petitbon, who was a reserve offensive lineman this past season, is transferring to Illinois, sources told AL.com. A well-deserved meltdown College Football Playoff National ChampionshipClemson - a bunch, Alabama — not a bunch This was as weird a game as you’ve ever seen Alabama play. Kicking was awful, of course. That’s basically the free space on your ‘Bama Bingo card by now. But, the defensive staff coached scared the entire night, opting for soft coverage and four-man fronts. Clemmy was able to sit back in Max Protect and take advantage of a beat-up and young Alabama defensive backfield. The DL was gassed after three plays. The LBs were...well, not exactly up to recent vintage. On offense,...

Alabama Crimson Tide (10-4, 1-1 SEC) vs. Texas A&M Aggies (7-8, 0-2 SEC) The Crimson Tide return home for another Saturday showdown in the SEC. This week, Alabama plays host to a struggling Texas A&M squad still looking for its first conference win of the season. With a tough schedule still ahead of the Tide, Avery Johnson’s group really can’t afford to lose this game at home. A loss would essentially cancel out last week’s big win against Kentucky. Alabama is expected to continue rolling with a starting five of Kira Lewis, Dazon Ingram, Tevin Mack, Herb Jones, and Donta Hall, with...
