In a game that felt like it lasted 12 hours, Arkansas battled from behind to beat Bryant. In their opener against Bryant, the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team struggled a bit in the beginning. Arkansas Razorbacks News: Bench Scoring, and Manny’s Big Games

Plus how weak is the bubble actually this year? For a long time this season there were questions about what the Razorbacks’ biggest strength was this season. The answer appears to be depth and that manifested itself again when Arkansas finished the season sweep over Texas A&M. Led by Daryl Macon, the Hog bench outscored the Aggies’ bench 27-4. More on that and some other tidbits here, which includes talking about how the Hogs went 7-0 in the regular season against teams from the Lone Star State. Arkansas Razorbacks 86, Texas A&M Aggies 77: Almost There

21-7, 10-5 Arkansas led this game for the final 32 minutes but it never felt safe for the Razorbacks until the last couple of minutes. The Hogs only once pushed the lead to 10 points, on a long three from Dusty Hannahs, but that only lasted for about 30 seconds when Tonny Trocha-Morelos hit a three of his own. A&M cut the lead down to two points a couple of times but Jaylen Barford hit a spurt when he scored six straight points highlighted by a fallaway jumper and a breakaway dunk, followed by a dunk from Daryl Macon. That put the Hogs up by eight points and they never looked back....

Arkansas Razorbacks 98, Ole Miss Rebels 80: Highlight Reel

Arkansas Razorbacks 98, Ole Miss Rebels 80: Highlight Reel

20-7, 9-5 It was a straight up party in Bud Walton Arena Saturday afternoon against Ole Miss. With a big crowd that was helped by the opening weekend of baseball season (and Arkansas is 2-0 to start out) the basketball team held up their end of the bargain by providing a very exciting couple of hours against Ole Miss. This was a back-and-forth game for a few minutes, but Arkansas took the lead for good when Dustin Thomas hit a pair of free throws five minutes into the game. Trey Thompson then dunked off a no-look left-handed laser pass from Jaylen Barford and the Hogs were off and...

Arkansas Razorbacks News: Expect the Unexpected

Arkansas Razorbacks News: Expect the Unexpected

Plus it’s baseball’s opening weekend! Predicting Arkansas basketball this season is looking more and more like a fool’s errand. Arkansas looked dead when they were down by double digits to LSU after losses to Missouri and Vanderbilt. Now they have a signature road win thanks to a Manny Watkins’ jump shot that only Alandise Harris would be proud of. It’s not quite as wild as the Henry Heave, but if the Hogs make the tournament will we start calling this the Manny Miracle? The win did wonders for the Hogs’ RPI, bumping it back up to 36, and improved their record against the top-50...

Arkansas Razorbacks 83, South Carolina Gamecocks 76: Just Another Comeback

19-7, 8-5 Sure. Why not? This Razorback team is more reliable on the road than at home. It’s absurd. The Hogs just beat a ranked team on the road to clinch a winning SEC road record for the second time in Mike Anderson’s tenure, and put them squarely back on the good side of the NCAA Tournament bubble. As Arkansas does this season, they basically gave South Carolina five free minutes to start the game. The Gamecocks put the Razorbacks in a 14-point hole less than six minutes into the game. And once again, it was easy to think the Hogs would get blown out. So many have been trying to...

Arkansas Razorbacks News: Life on the Bubble

Plus info on where new football position coaches will recruit. It’s only halfway through February but Razorback fans have already gone through a ton of ups and downs as the basketball season nears the final stretch. With a road game against South Carolina up next, Arkansas has an opportunity to really make a statement, or they can continue to live on the edge like this article talks about. The SEC is a jumbled mess and right now only 3 teams look like NCAA Tournament locks, getting a win over one would be huge for Mike Anderson. Now we know the coaching staff for the Hogs in 2017, but...

SEC Basketball Power Rankings: Nobody Knows Anything

Including a crazy 4-overtime game! This picture of Avery Johnson is awesome. Arkansas appears to be the leading SEC team on the NCAA bubble. The Razorbacks have the best chance of being the 4th team from the SEC in the tournament, but there’s a few others with longer odds but could still make it. The NIT is a likely option for many teams, though. 1) Florida (20-5, 10-2, RPI: 10) - Florida was listed as a 3-seed when the NCAA revealed the top 16 seeds on Saturday. Florida took care of Georgia and Mississippi State last week, but there margin for error was much slimmer than the 20-point...
