ORLANDO | Temple could be trouble. If Central Florida doesn't play better, particularly on offense, against the Owls today, the Knights will find themselves totally out of the big bowl picture and hanging on by their fingernails in an effort to defend their American Athletic Conference title. UCF (4-2) is one of two teams, East Carolina being the other, that are unbeaten in AAC play. The Pirates, ranked 18th in one poll and 16th in another, barely squeezed by Connecticut on Thursday to go to 3-0 in the league. And if the Knights want to stay in step, they have to respond by beating Temple...

South Florida football coach Willie Taggart said earlier in the week it remains to be seen whether Saturday's come from-behind win at Tulsa could be a game that propels the Bulls to a winning streak. Taggart will get a better idea tonight when the Bulls go after their second win in a row. USF faces Cincinnati at 8 p.m., at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati in an American Athletic Conference matchup that will leave the winner in the conference race and the loser facing the prospect of being two games behind league-leader East Carolina. At his previous coaching stops where Taggart was part of a...
