Before Friday’s commencement ceremony, the University of Houston presented actor Matthew McConaughey with a red No. 88 UH jersey. The number has significance for McConaughey, whose father, Jim, played for the Cougars from 1951-52. McConaughey was scheduled to speak to UH’s 2015 graduating class.
