Connecting on a school-record 15 3-pointers, the Cyclones outgunned UW-Milwaukee, 79-61, in the third round of the World Vision Classic Sunday night in Hilton Coliseum. ISU, which improves its record to 3-0 with a three-game sweep in the tournament, had four players (Sean Haluska, Lucca Staiger, Diante Garrett, Jamie Vanderbeken) with three or more treys in its record-setting night.

Cyclones.com — AMES, Iowa--Iowa State head men's basketball coach Greg McDermott announced today that Marquis Gilstrap, a junior college wing from Gulf Coast Community College (Panama, Fla.), has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Iowa State beginning in the 2009-10 season. Gilstrap, who is in his first season at GCCC, will have one season of eligibility for the Cyclones next year.
