Wednesday’s Arizin

There’s just too many topics to touch on today! Happy Hump Day Nova Nation! Today is one of those days where I just can’t pick one story to touch on. So instead, I’m gonna give a quick take on all of them. Here we go! Eric Paschall is the most underrated player in the country heading into next season. Not only is he my pick for Big East POY, but he’s my dark horse candidate to become a first team All-American. Good on Kris Jenkins signing in Germany with Bremerhaven. The G-League didn’t quite work out for him, but now he’s better suited to play at the professional level...

Monday’s Arizin

Being a part of the Global Sports Academy trip is a sign of good things to come for the young Wildcats. Happy Monday Nova Nation! It’s the start of another week as we inch closer to the regular season, and most of us are returning to the same old work week with the rest of our co-workers. However Villanova sophomores Dylan Painter and Jermaine Samuels are doing something different than the rest of their teammates this week. Great experience for @dpaint4234 and @J_Swizz23 repping @NovaMBB in Belgium !! pic.twitter.com/y028VY0ugA— Jay Wright (@VUCoachJWright) August 12, 2018 The...

NCAA announces major rules changes

NCAA announces major rules changes

Some of these will really affect Villanova. Others, not so much. The NCAA announce a major overhaul of their bylaws today, with changes ranging from the recruiting calendar, to player representation, to the NCAA’s subpoena power. The general reaction seems to be a ‘meh’ from most of the college basketball world. But I think there is some good stuff in there. Progress is progress. If you want a full rundown of the changes, Matt Norlander at CBS has a great breakdown of everything in there. Here are the four that matter most to the Villanova Wildcats and their basketball...

Isaiah Wong cuts list to 5

The local guard keeps the home school on his list. 4-star guard Isaiah Wong has trimmed his list of college suitors to a final 5, as reported by Pat Lawless on Monday afternoon. Wong will choose from one of Miami (Fla.), UConn, Clemson, Pittsburgh and Villanova. Wong is a dynamic playmaker that is ranked #86 in the 247 Composite Rankings. Having transferred from Notre Dame (N.J.) to Monsignor Bonner in Philadelphia last season, he’s well known by the Wildcats staff. But with Justin Moore in the fold already and elite targets like Josh Green, Bryan Antoine, Scottie Lewis and Nico Mannion...
