GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer said his wife, Cheryl, has recovered well from serious injuries sustained during a fall in May.
The coach said Cheryl is able to walk and drive. She broke six ribs and her clavicle after tripping over a dog while carrying her grandchild at the couple's lake home in Georgia. She underwent surgery to have pins inserted in both legs.
