Staring Down The Musket At...The TCU Horned Frogs - A Q&A With Frogs O'War

College Gameday is coming to Morgantown for what could be a Big 12 title fight. Nick from Frogs O' War joins us to preview the game. Nick from Frogs O'War was kind enough to answer some questions about this weekend's game between the Frogs and the Mountaineers. Let's get to it. Matt: Trevone Boykin has been a thorn in WVU's side for the last two years, both as a quarterback and as a wide receiver. What has been the biggest key to his development as a Heisman candidate quarterback this season? Nick: The biggest key is really supported by two smaller keys- This is Boykin's first year where he...

Week 10 College Football TV Schedule

Here's how to watch all of the college football in week 10. All ten Big 12 teams (still seems weird typing that phrase "all ten Big 12 teams") are in action this weekend, starting with the Sooners visiting the Cyclones on FOX Sports 1 at noon. Kansas visits Baylor at 4 pm, also on FOX Sports 1. The Bears won't be looking to take out any frustrations...no, not at all. Texas Tech hosts the Longhorns at 7:30 pm on FOX Sports 1, then Oklahoma State heads to Manhattan to take on the Wildcats at 8 pm on ESPN. Of course, the main event for the day happens at 3:30 pm, with TCU coming to Morgantown...

ESPN Gameday In Morgantown: Sign Suggestions

The game Saturday against TCU will have huge implications for the outcome of the Big 12 championship race. Only slightly less important will be the exposure for WVU and the football team when ESPN's College Gameday comes to our city. So it'll be important for the Mountaineer sign makers to bring their A game and let the college football world know where we stand on some serious and silly issues. The picture above should be how the show opens. Let's be honest here. We have a hard time hating our Big 12 brothers. But Pitt is so easy to hate and given their offensive output last week, this...

Smallwood on top after career day. 1. Wendell Smallwood Playing in place of an injured Rushel Shell, Smallwood allowed the Mountaineers to not miss a beat with their run game turning 23 carries into 132 yards and adding a reception for 14 yards. WVU has a nice combination with Shell and Smallwood and Saturday marked the second straight game where Smallwood had over 20 carries. Previous ranking unranked 2. West Virginia Mountaineers Football Recruiting: What You May Have Missed (10/29/14)

With Big 12 title hopes on the line and some huge talents coming to town there is no doubt about it, West Virginia is in for a wild weekend. This weekend is going to be huge for the Mountaineers to put it simply. Everyone is likely going to be thinking about the Big 12 title implications of the TCU vs. WVU rather than the recruiting implications, and rightfully so. That being said, this weekend is still going to be huge for the Mountaineers from a recruiting standpoint. The fact that ESPN's College Gameday is coming to Morgantown means that not only millions of people will be watching the...

West Virginia Ranked #20 In Initial College Football Playoff Ranking

The first ever College Football Playoff Ranking has been revealed. While we obviously wish to be ranked higher, with two losses, this is about as good as to be expected realistically. But this is putting the cart way before the horse. With upcoming games against the current ranked #7 TCU Horned Frogs and the #9 Kansas State Wildcats, WVU can certainly make some noise going forward in 2014. Plus, several sets of teams ranked above us are set to play each other, as well. Here's the full table: Rank Team Record 1 Mississippi State 7-0 2 Florida...

Mountaineer Retweet: West Virginia Beats Oklahoma State

It was the very definition of a trap game, but the Mountaineers were ready. Let's take a look back through the Twitters at WVU's convincing win in Stillwater that set the stage for some big, big things. Also, I beg Brad Paisley for a ride to GameDay. Anybody who knows anything about West Virginia Mountaineer football was scared to death of this game. Sandwiched between a pair of home tilts against top 10 opponents, this was the type of road trip tailor made for a team to be caught napping. Add to that a few bumps and bruises and an opponent who was good enough to have been ranked in the top...

ESPN's College Gameday Is Coming Back To Morgantown For West Virginia vs. TCU

Fowler, Herbie, Corso and crew are coming back to the Mountain State. I guess those pesky internet rumors were unfounded. Breaking: GameDay is heading to Morgantown! #GetUp4GameDay pic.twitter.com/vBoByJFtj6 — College GameDay (@CollegeGameDay) October 26, 2014 That's right, college football's premier gameday show is coming back to Morgantown for only the second time ever (2011's LSU game being the other instance). The Big 12 matchup between the Mountaineers and Horned Frogs was too good a matchup to pass up for the "world wide leader." Ole Miss losing on Saturday to LSU certainly...
