Alex Boone not attending voluntary minicamp

Guard Alex Boone is not attending this voluntary 49ers minicamp.— Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoCSN) April 29, 2015 There is no word yet on if this is a holdout or not, but for now, Alex Boone is not in attendance at the San Francisco 49ers voluntary minicamp. I suppose it could be prior obligations or something else, but given his holdout last year, it is easy to assume the worst about Boone sitting out the voluntary minicamp. Boone's return resulted in a deal that would prevent the 49ers from placing the franchise tag on him after the 2015 season. He is guaranteed to be free to sign anywhere...

Golden Nuggets: Let The Harbaugh Stories End

Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from the Internet Alex Boone, one of Harbaugh's supporters last season, recently said that Harbaugh "kinda wore out his welcome" as the 49ers head coach. I'm sorry Alex, but is this the same guy that took you to 3 NFC titles games in a row? Alex also says, "He just keeps pushing you, and you're like, 'Dude, we got over the mountain. Stop. Let go." Uhhh, actually Alex, you didn't get over the mountain. You didn't win a Super Bowl, did you? He kept pushing because you didn't reach the top...

Chris Culliver responds to Alex Boone's comments about Jim Harbaugh, and it's all just nonsense at this point

The 49ers have players, coaches and executives who exaggerate, spout cliches and/or mince their words. We probably should not take them too seriously. The San Francisco 49ers have been dealing with free agency and draft preparations over the last couple months, but recently Jim Harbaugh stuff was back in the news. HBO's Real Sports produced a segment discussing Jim Harbaugh's departure from the 49ers. The segment includes quotes from Alex Boone in which Boone talks about Harbaugh kind of wearing down the locker room. Boone says Harbaugh was good for the initial spark, "but after a while,...

Golden Nuggets: Boone Changes Tune on Harbaugh

Monday, April 20, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web. Looks like one Alex Boone is doing what he does best again, and no it's not blocking defensive linemen. Boone was interviewed for HBO and of course, he did not hesitate to give his opinion as he often does. Alex enjoys the limelight and he does articulate himself well on camera and he has a good wit to match. It seems like though that his latest words are being questioned because 1) they are about Jim Harbaugh and 2) it looks like a 180 degree turnaround from his previous public...
