Behind Enemy Lines: Five questions with Big Cat Country

Behind Enemy Lines: Five questions with Big Cat Country

Ryan Day, Managing Editor of Big Cat Country, gave me his thoughts on Bortles, Fournette and the upcoming Week 3 contest in London! 1. What Blake Bortles do you expect in Week 3? He's up, he's down, what do you make of him? He's not a franchise quarterback. It's that simple. He's inconsistent and his good games are few and far between. This offense needs a steady hand that will consistently complete the ball underneath and doesn't turn the ball over. Bortles is neither of those and I don't see his NFL career lasting much longer. 2. With Allen Robinson out, who will the Jaguars turn to in...

Three predictions for Ravens-Jaguars week three matchup

Three predictions for Ravens-Jaguars week three matchup

The Ravens week three game against the Jacksonville Jaguars is set for Sunday at 9:30 am ET. Below are three predictions for Baltimore’s week three matchup: 1. The Ravens defense will force at least three turnovers This group forced five turnovers in each of their first two games and this week, they play a Blake Bortles led offense. The Jaguars are without their top wide receiver, Allen Robinson, and their offensive line has been far from consistent. This is a recipe for another dominating performance from the Ravens defense. 2. Leonard Fournette will not have more than 50 yards...

Which wide receiver can lead the Jaguars offense?

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost wide receiver Allen Robinson to an ACL injury in week one. With a hole on the offensive side if the ball, which player can step up to lead the offense? Through week one the Jaguars rank twenty-fourth in passing. In my opinion the Jags will need to improve to take pressure […] Which wide receiver can lead the Jaguars offense? - Black and Teal - Black and Teal - A Jacksonville Jaguars Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.

Allen Hurns has to step up in the absence of Allen Robinson

From the brink of being traded to now being the focal point of the passing game, Allen Hurns needs to shake off a crazy few weeks and become a number 1 WR. The Jacksonville Jaguars made it clear what they wanted to do in 2017 when they selected Leonard Fournette at the top of the […] Allen Hurns has to step up in the absence of Allen Robinson - Black and Teal - Black and Teal - A Jacksonville Jaguars Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.

Jacksonville Jaguars Daily: Loss of Allen Robinson goes beyond stats

Jacksonville Jaguars Daily: Loss of Allen Robinson goes beyond stats

The loss of Allen Robinson goes beyond stats for Jacksonville Jaguars - ESPN.comThe impact of not having top receiver Allen Robinson is being felt in more than just the catches, yards and touchdowns he would have had for the Jacksonville Jaguars. It also has crippled the team's use of three-receiver formations as well. After Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns, the Jaguars have been using undrafted rookie Keelan Cole as the third receiver. While the team believes Cole will develop into a productive NFL receiver, he was a little over-matched in the season opener and had more trouble in Sunday's loss...

Jacksonville Jaguars Daily: No run game gives Blake Bortles no chance

Jacksonville Jaguars Daily: No run game gives Blake Bortles no chance

Lack of run game gives Jacksonville Jaguars offense no chance against Tennessee Titans - ESPN.comNo running game meant no chance for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense and quarterback Blake Bortles on Sunday in a 37-16 loss to the visiting Tennessee Titans. Tennessee’s defensive game plan was to stack the box to stop Leonard Fournette and Chris Ivory and force Bortles to beat them by making him throw. He’s had plenty of success against the Titans in the past, but without wide receiver Allen Robinson, who is out for the season with a torn left ACL, Bortles and the offense couldn’t...

Jaguars sign Max McCaffrey, place Allen Robinson on injured reserve

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed first-year wide receiver Max McCaffery to the active roster from the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad. To make room on the roster, the club placed fourth-year wide receiver Allen Robinson on the team’s reserve/injured list. McCaffery has previously spent time with the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers after going undrafted in 2016. McCaffery was originally signed by Oakland as an undrafted rookie free agent on April 30, 2016, and was released on August 29, 2016. Allen Hurns could emerge as Jaguars' new number-one receiver

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns could emerge as Blake Bortle's new top target moving forward. What It Means: Following Allen Robinson's season-ending ACL injury, the Jaguars are without a clear number-one receiver for Blake Bortles to throw to. Hurns hauled in 3-of-4 targets for 42 yards in the Week 1 victory over the Houston Texans, but he's going to be much more involved now without Robinson around to soak up the targets. Marqise Lee may be asked to replace Jacksonville's star receiver on the outside, but Hurns is still worth picking up based on opportunity...
