Amobi Okoye closer to return to action

IRVING, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys plan to work defensive tackle Amobi Okoye back to work slowly, but after Tuesday’s practice he got a little one-on-one contact in with an offensive lineman. “It was a weird feeling, but it was good to do that,” said Okoye, who has not played in a game since 2012 and was getting out of a medically-induced coma 13 month ago. Okoye is attempting to return to football after battling anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, a potentially deadly brain illness.

Amobi Okoye not in pads yet

IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys are continuing to take it slow with the recovery of Amobi Okoye, who was cleared last week to return to full football activities. Okoye remains on the non-football injury list as he returns from anti-NMDA encephalitis, a potentially fatal brain illness that had him in a medically-induced coma for roughly three months last year. Dallas Cowboys add defensive end

OXNARD, Calif. -- With injuries keeping five defensive linemen out of practices, the Dallas Cowboys agreed to a deal with end Ken Boatright and, according to sources, could add Adewale Ojomo as well.
