Report: "No better than 50/50" that Andrew Luck plays on Thursday vs. Texans

According to the MMQB's Peter King tonight on NBC's Football Night in America, "it's no better than 50/50" that Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will play this Thursday night against the Texans. The Indianapolis Colts managed to pull out a win in overtime today against the Jacksonville Jaguars despite the fact that they were playing without their franchise player, as Andrew Luck missed the first game of his career due to an injury to his throwing shoulder. All things considered, even though it was an ugly win it is still impressive to be able to notch a division win to improve to 2-2 on the...

Report: Andrew Luck has a subluxation of his right shoulder

According to FOX59's Chris Hagan, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has a subluxation of his right shoulder. For the past week, we've been monitoring the injury situation of Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, who suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder against the Tennessee Titans that caused him to miss Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the first game that Luck has missed in his NFL career.  We hadn't received many details about the injury, however, and all that we knew was that it's an injury to his throwing shoulder. Now, it seems that we have the diagnosis of the injury,...

Colts' Andrew Luck still limited, Matt Hasselbeck misses practice

Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said today that quarterback Andrew Luck is still limited with a shoulder injury and that Matt Hasselbeck missed practice today because he is sick. We're just a couple of days away from the Indianapolis Colts returning to the field to take on the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football, and that means that today was the final day of media availability before the game.  As such, the Andrew Luck watch was in full swing, but like usual, we didn't learn much. During the portion of practice open to the media, Andrew Luck and Matt Hasselbeck were nowhere to be...

Report: Matt Hasselbeck To Start At QB For Colts Tonight; Andrew Luck Ruled Out

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Colts will be without their star quarterback against the Texans on Thursday Night Football. Even worse for Colts fans, the man who will start in Luck's place is not in good shape either. While you never like to see anyone get hurt or have to miss games, let's be honest. This is very good news for a reeling Houston Texans team. Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck is starting tonight, per source. No Andrew Luck again. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 8, 2015 Updated: Colts' QB Matt Hassebleck was in emergency room until 2 am TUESDAY, dealing with...

Matt Hasselbeck steps up for the Colts in place of the injured Andrew Luck

Matt Hasselbeck stepped in at quarterback for the Colts today in place of the injured Andrew Luck and did enough to help the Colts to a 16-13 overtime win. The first re-signing of the free agency period this offseason by the Colts was an inauspicious one, as they signed quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to a one-year, $3 million contract to return as Andrew Luck's backup.  He was the  emergency plan in case the worst-case scenario happened and Luck was injured, but considering the fact that Luck had never missed a start in his career entering the season, that seemed unlikely to happen. Then, in...

Bills sign former Colts running back Boom Herron

The Buffalo Bills signed former Colts running back Boom Herron today. In the last preseason game of the year, Colts running back Boom Herron injured his shoulder on a kickoff return.  The injury was going to take a few weeks to heal, and so instead of carrying an injured backup running back on their active roster, the Colts waived-injured Herron, and then after he cleared waivers, they released him from their injured reserve with an injury settlement. It sounds like Herron is now healthy and thus was free to work out with teams, and he was visiting the New England Patriots yesterday...

Cornerback Greg Toler "good to go" for Colts on Thursday night

Colts starting cornerback Greg Toler is back and will make his season debut this Thursday night against the Texans. We've been on Andrew Luck watch for the past week and that has, obviously, taken the headlines when it comes to the Colts and injuries, but the Colts also got some good injury news: cornerback Greg Toler is back.  "He's up," Chuck Pagano confirmed, meaning that Toler will play Thursday night.  "Good to go." The Colts have really been missing Toler ever since he went out with a neck injury in the preseason, as opposing quarterbacks have had a lot of success against an injured...
