Anthony Fasano signs with Titans; Bengals hosted him before NFL free agency opened

Anthony Fasano has logged 109 starts over nine seasons with the Cowboys, Dolphins and Chiefs while cracking 400 yards in just three seasons and never topping 528 yards. The Bengals' potential targets in NFL free agency are going off the board fast. Right after the Rams signed Nick Fairley after he visited Cincinnati, the Titans reached an agreement with Anthony Fasano just days after his visit with the Bengals. The free-agent tight end spent Monday in Cincinnati, but no contract was offered, and now he's joining Tennessee as the first week of free agency wraps up. The nine-year veteran...

Busy Day Continues; Anthony Fasano Signs With Titans

Anthony Fasano to sign with the Titans The Titans have been more active today than they have been the rest of the offseason combined. According to several outlets, the Titans have signed veteran Tight End, Anthony Fasano. Fasano has been around the league for a long time, most recently playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. Anthony Fasano's main game is blocking. Ken Whisenhunt may have been looking for a Matt Spaeth type of player for his offense, like he had many years ago in Pittsburgh. With Owner Tommy Smith's desire to become a "smashmouth" football team, and proclaiming that the run game...

Buffalo Bills showing interest in Anthony Fasano, per report

The Buffalo Bills are basically gutting and remodeling the tight end position, and are going to need more than just Charles Clay (if they can get him) to fill the position back out. The Buffalo Bills remain in full pursuit of Miami Dolphins tight end Charles Clay in free agency, but after releasing four-year starter Scott Chandler on Wednesday, the Bills are also in need of more bodies at that position, as well. Anthony Fasano is a veteran, blocking-oriented tight end that, after his release from Kansas City, has visited with Cincinnati and, most recently, Tennessee. If he gets away from...

NFL free agency: Anthony Fasano visited Bengals, will visit Titans

The Kansas City Chiefs parted ways with veteran TE Anthony Fasano last week and he has been making the rounds since then. Per several reports, Fasano visited the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday and will visit the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday. Fasano's best asset is his reliability. He will not stretch the field and his blocking appears to have taken a bit of a hit in the last year but if you need a reliable tight end to move the chains, Fasano can be that guy assuming he stays healthy. Our Bengals blog Cincy Jungle wrote of his visit: "The Bengals are going to want their No. 2 guy to be a...

Anthony Fasano meeting with Titans after visiting Bengals, per report

With news that Anthony Fasano met with the Bengals Monday night, anyone hoping a deal would get done quickly will be disappointed to hear the veteran tight end has more visits scheduled. Per Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean, Fasano is set to visit the Titans on Tuesday. It's unclear if Fasano has any visits scheduled beyond that, or if he was offered a contract during his visit to Cincinnati. Fasano has played for the Cowboys, Dolphins and Chiefs over his nine-year career. Last year with Kansas city, he finished with 25 receptions for 226 yards and four touchdowns.

Chiefs' Travis Kelce says his goodbye to Anthony Fasano

The Kansas City Chiefs released tight end Anthony Fasano this week and that will directly impact Travis Kelce, who is now the leader of the tight ends after a dynamic second season in the league. Kelce entered the league a month after the Chiefs signed Fasano so he's always had his teammate there. Heading into next season all of that changes. It's clear that it was time for him to take the starring role. Kelce took a minute to say goodbye to his now former teammate, Anthony Fasano. I got more respect for this man than I do a lot of others in the league. He's helped myself grow in this...

2015 NFL Free Agency: Cap casualty Anthony Fasano could be a fit with the Steelers

Pittsburgh still needs a reliable long-term option at tight end, one they may explore in the upcoming draft, but Fasano could be a solid plan B should talks with pending free agent Matt Spaeth break down. Chiefs will be releasing TE Anthony Fasano later today, source says. Still a productive vet (4 TDs in '14) — but salary cap casualty for KC. — Jeff Darlington (@JeffDarlington) February 26, 2015 Injuries plus a rising prospect on the depth chart plus a $2 million salary will almost always result in a release. The Chiefs released veteran tight end Anthony Fasano Thursday in an...
