Browns Rookie RB T. West Expected In Camp On Friday

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Browns rookie running back Terrance West is expected to practice Friday.Fantasy Spin:West was placed on the NFI (Non-Football Injury) List Wednesday, but he tweeted that he passed his conditioning test and is healthy. West is expected to push Ben Tate for the starting job this season and could remain heavily involved even as a backup, as the Browns plan to use a run-heavy offense.

First in a series previewing Browns training camp. The first practice open to the public is July 26. July 22: left and right guard No position on the Browns roster was as weak as running back by the end of 2013, so General Manager Ray Farmer made a point to change that in the offseason. Farmer signed Ben Tate as a free agent and moved up in the draft for a second third-round pick so he could draft Terrance West from Towson.

Tate backed up Arian Foster the past three years in Houston and had 1,992 yards and 10 touchdowns on 421 carries (4.7 ypc) and is the favorite to win the job.
